Welcome to Lakeview Weddings & Events! Located just one hour north of Edmonton, our venue is a private sanctuary overlooking Peanut Lake near Barrhead, Alberta. Lakeview harmoniously blends natural serenity, cozy comfort, and elegant touches, creating the perfect setting for your wedding.
We offer an incredible opportunity to celebrate your wedding without time restrictions. Unlike many venues that require an early departure, you can rent our space for the entire weekend. Accommodations include the lodge for up to ten guests and five all-season cabins with washrooms (available for the 2025 season), plus options for RV parking and camping. You and your guests can stay and savour every moment together—from the night before to the day after—making it a truly unforgettable celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
We offer a large 40 x 80 covered outdoor space with an amazing view of the lake. Use of white chairs and rectangular tables for up to 150 guests, as well as all linens, table decor (including candles), and a beautiful dance floor for everyone to enjoy. Inside the lodge, there’s a beautifully air-conditioned room for hair and makeup, where the bridal party can enjoy complimentary mimosas. A new Groom's Room, complete with a bar, fridge, games, and cozy chairs, is a perfect space – yes, the groomsmen get mimosas as well! Use of the hot tub, bonfire, and BBQs are a few extras for everyone to enjoy.
Services Offered
An on-site event coordinator is available to assist you on your wedding day, ensuring you can fully focus on enjoying the occasion. For your convenience, professional and attentive event staff are assigned to your function, providing setup and cleanup assistance. Lakeview offers bar service, fireworks, dinnerware packages, a lemonade/coffee bar, ice and water (after the ceremony), a popcorn/donut wall, and s’mores for an additional price. Outside vendors are welcome, and you are encouraged to arrange your own catering services.
Location
Ideally located between Edmonton and Barrhead, Lakeview Wedding & Events is nestled within a tranquil forest on Peanut Lake, making it easily accessible yet private and remote. Couples and their guests are free to explore the 160 acres of pristine landscape, waterfront, and walking trails. Barrhead is located 12 minutes north of the venue, and Westlock is 25 minutes northeast.

The site of a perfect wedding. All the guests were impressed with the gorgeous facility, the venue is on top of a hill that overlooks the lake.
Our hosts were absolutely fantastic on the wedding day, and the only small criticism I have is that responses to emails prior to the event were not always prompt. Overall we had a fantastic experience at Lakeview: an ideal location for a wedding celebration.

I will admit the communication leading up to the even was minimal. But enough to get what we needed across.
The day was absolutely perfect. The team dealt with bring things in out of the rain and the wind. I barely noticed the downpour that was happening.
If you can afford this venue I highly suggest it!!! So beautiful. Great team!
Highly dissatisfied
1. Grass was long, we asked in rehearsal for it to be cut Brie said she would. She did not
2. We were told we had kitchen access and yet was not allowed to borrow a spoon for the bar.
3. The entire septic system backed up causing toilets to overflow as well as come through bathtub.
4. We were told we had a crew of 4 for cleaning up dinner/ tables throughout the party. We had two and had to go ask them to come as guests were clearing their own plates.
5. Our glamping tent guests when going to bed around midnight found they had no sheets or pillow cases on their beds. Some guests were in bed by then, with no sheets.
6. Bride and groom glamping tent was suppose to have heated blankets coffee and power, we had none of that. It was a major disappointment for a wedding night. Bonus at least we had sheets.
7. Messaging Brie it would take days to respond - so I emailed same questions to the main email. I got different answers from Brie and her team.
Very disorganized and promised many things that they didn’t live up to, I would not recommend this venue at all. Although the view is beautiful it is not worth wrecking your wedding day with all the issues like it did to me.
