Lakeview Wedding & Events provides overnight weddings, accomodations for up to ten guests in the lodge plus five new all season cabins with washrooms (2025 season). RV parking and camping available. So much work is put into your special day and we like to help extend the time for you to enjoy the pre and post day of your wedding.
Facilities and Capacity
Offering a large 40 x 80 covered outdoor space with an amazing view of the lake. Use of the white resin chairs, recatngular tables for up to 150 guests as well as all linens, table decor including candles and a brand new dance floor for everyone to enjoy. In the lodge, there is an air conditioned beautiful room for hair and makeup to be done while enjoying complementary Mimosa's for the bridal party. A new Grooms Room, with bar, fridge, games, and cozy chairs this space is pefect space, yes the groomsmen get Mimosa's as well! Use of the hot tub, bonfire and BBQ's are a few little extras for everyone to enjoy.
Services Offered
An on-site event coordinator is available to assist you on your wedding day ensuring you and yours can fully focus on enjoying the occasion. For your convenience, professional and attentive event staff are assigned to your function and provide set-up and clean-up assistance. Lakeview offers Bar Service, Fireworks, Dinnerware Packages, Lemonaide / Coffee Bar / Ice and Water (after ceremony) Popcorn / Donut Wall and S'mores for an additional price. Outside vendors are happily welcomed and you are encouraged to arrange your own catering services.
Location
Ideally located between Edmonton and Barrhead, Lakeview Wedding & Events is nestled inside of a tranquil forest on Peanut Lake, making it easily accessible yet private and remote. Couples and their guests are free to explore the 160-acres of pristine landscape, waterfront and walking trails. Barrhead is located 12 minutes North of the Venue and Westlock is 25 minutes North East.

The site of a perfect wedding. All the guests were impressed with the gorgeous facility, the venue is on top of a hill that overlooks the lake.
Our hosts were absolutely fantastic on the wedding day, and the only small criticism I have is that responses to emails prior to the event were not always prompt. Overall we had a fantastic experience at Lakeview: an ideal location for a wedding celebration.

I will admit the communication leading up to the even was minimal. But enough to get what we needed across.
The day was absolutely perfect. The team dealt with bring things in out of the rain and the wind. I barely noticed the downpour that was happening.
If you can afford this venue I highly suggest it!!! So beautiful. Great team!
Highly dissatisfied
1. Grass was long, we asked in rehearsal for it to be cut Brie said she would. She did not
2. We were told we had kitchen access and yet was not allowed to borrow a spoon for the bar.
3. The entire septic system backed up causing toilets to overflow as well as come through bathtub.
4. We were told we had a crew of 4 for cleaning up dinner/ tables throughout the party. We had two and had to go ask them to come as guests were clearing their own plates.
5. Our glamping tent guests when going to bed around midnight found they had no sheets or pillow cases on their beds. Some guests were in bed by then, with no sheets.
6. Bride and groom glamping tent was suppose to have heated blankets coffee and power, we had none of that. It was a major disappointment for a wedding night. Bonus at least we had sheets.
7. Messaging Brie it would take days to respond - so I emailed same questions to the main email. I got different answers from Brie and her team.
Very disorganized and promised many things that they didn’t live up to, I would not recommend this venue at all. Although the view is beautiful it is not worth wrecking your wedding day with all the issues like it did to me.

Cindy and her husband Robert built their home at Peanut Lake in 1999 and raised thier 3 daughters. The home now called the lodge has been transformed into welcoming new guests to come and enjoy the cozy and unique space. "Come in and Stay Awhile" is something you automatically feel when you arrive. Cindy grew up in Northern Ontario where family and friends enjoyed going to the cottage every weekend. At Lakeview Wedding & Events, you can come and enjoy the whole weekend so there is no stress to having to hurry up to clean and leave right after your special day. Cindy and her staff assist to ensure your wedding exceeds your expections to ensure your wedding memories are forever embraced.
