    Accomodating

The venue is very accommodating in regards to moving the wedding date, especially with the COVID.

    Couldn't be happier!

We just booked Le Jardin for our upcoming wedding in 2020 and we are so excited that we chose this venue over the many others that we looked at! We had the pleasure of dealing with Michael Punzo and our minds are at ease knowing we will be well taken care of for our big day!

Quite simply, Michael and his team are the very best at what they do. It was very clear from our first meeting, especially compared to other venues, that this was the perfect fit. Michael came off extremely professional, detail oriented and experienced. If you’re looking for someone to make your wedding stress-free, this is the place to go.
We are looking forward to our big day!

    Amazing Venue

We booked our venue almost a year in advance and was so happy with the service we recieved. Leading up to the wedding they were very responsive and 3 days prior we were able to change the bar menu with no hassle.

We got married on June 24, 2017 and booked this venue well over a year in advance because after looking at the whole package there was no comparison to any other banquet hall. Since the very beginning the staff where very friendly, helpful, always available and not pushy. I booked the venue with Samir who is a fantastic salesperson and I recommend him to anyone. My coordinator was Jennifer and she was fantastic as well, always on top of things. The day of the wedding everything was perfect and the food was out of this world. All the guests where so happy! They can also work with any budget so ask. The only thing to be aware off is the in house DJ is very pricey and the sound hooking fee is the most expensive of all the places I saw ($495 + $20 + tax - they said they where raising it for the next year...) and you can't use any lights if it is not through them and that is also very expensive, so budget extra for this part. Aside from this, the venue is a dream, the staff are amazing and the food is out of this world! You will not regret this choice, and booked the decorator the venue uses (Rosemary) she is very affordable, talented, and amazing in every way!

    Covid Wedding

There were some hiccups with the venue as a result of Covid restrictions and the uncertain times. Sometimes the responses took a while and we did not get the responses we were looking for. As well, we missed two things during the wedding day (dessert was not as promised on our contract and they forgot the champagne toast). Otherwise the day of our wedding was amazing. The staff and service was good. Everyone was friendly. The courtyard looked beautiful as did the venue. Overall, it was great!

    Outstanding

    A COVID Wedding

Like many, we were engaged mid 2019, shopped venues and confidently secured September 19th, 2020 at Chateau Le Jardin in Woodbridge. Little did anyone know what 2020 had in store.
In March we remained confident that the pandemic would pass/there would be cure well before our date, but as we started closing in on mid June, it was pretty clear this was not going anywhere and we needed to adapt to the conditions set our by our government and maintain public responsibility for our friends and family. The reality of having our ideal wedding at Chateau Le Jardin became unrealistic.
We held on for as long as we could, but a decision needed to be made if we were going to go forward in any capacity. We met again with Eugene regarding what options we had, and unless we wanted to move the date or have 50 people socially distanced inside their venue, it was not going to happen. Fortunately, our backyard, though in Pickering could act as a great option for a small crowd, but what about all the bells and whistles we want for our day???
We posed the question to Eugene who brought in Jennifer, Chateau Le Jardin’s Director of Special Events. It goes with out saying, but she took the ball and ran with it! We cannot express how happy we were that not only they would support us, but it was clear they would make this event one of there own.
Jennifer and Chateau Le Jardin’s President Julian came to our house for a site visit and frankly were more enthusiastic then we were. We mapped out the setting, different food options based on the ambiance of our yard, Julian even recommended that our late-night meal be cooked on the charcoal grill we have because why not!!! I cannot tell you how happy Daniella, my wife was after that meeting. Jennifer promptly followed up with a detailed rendering of the layout and off we went planning accordingly with the full support of our original venue, who frankly did not need to step up the way they did.
The set-up was seamless and extremely professional on the 18th. After our ceremony we arrived to Julian and his team in full stride. Not missing a beat at the bar, antipastos and making sure Daniella, my self and our family were well taken care of. The main course followed and was delicious. As the night progressed, they were on point with every planned component of the evening; from keeping everything clean, reacting to requests and making critical game time suggestions to add as much value as possible to our evening.
In conclusion, we could not have asked for a better, more professional group to work with for the most important day of our lives’! Our family and guests feel the same.

Thank you very much Julian, Jennifer and team. I do not know what we have done with out you!

    Sincerely,

    Brian and Daniella Glen

Excellent service!! Jennifer D'Urzo and her team have been amazing since our booking 2 years ago. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Jennifer has be great and very accomodating for us in choosing a new date. She treats all bookings as her top priority and is always readily accessible. Le Jardin is a beautiful venue with excellent food and EXCELLENT service. Would highly reccommend it.

    Terrifying

Horrible, horrible venue. Hosted one event there and attended many in the last few years. Almost every time something gets stolen. My jacket was stolen from their coat check and they did NOTHING about it. What's the point of having a coat check if nobody's stuff is secure there? They need to figure out basic things like coat check before hosting any bigger events.

Avoid this venue at all costs if you're trying to have a stress-free event. Staff isn't helpful at all either as they wouldn't cooperate in providing videos. It's almost like they were in on it on people's stuff constantly getting stolen.

    High expectation, disappointing result.

I had my son's wedding reception on Victoria Day weekend and after feedback from some of our guests decided to put this review. Our contact Michael Punzo who we met over a year ago to plan the event was awesome. He listened to our requests and set the bar high and so our expectation followed and our guests (500+) were expecting this to be a fabulous venue and service to follow. We did our food taste test and it fell short, Michael was not present. We followed up with Michael and he invited us to a second food taste and he personally attended to us and the result was WOW, that was great, food presentation and taste was second to none. So our confidence level rose and our expectation for the execution on the evening of the reception was high. Then came the event and it did started out on a high note with an exceptional Lamb Martini as one of the appetizers recommended by Michael. Sorry to say, that was the end of the high note, it went downhill after that. We ordered a 7 course dinner starting with a soup which had a sharp taste of too much salt and not enough to present to all tables. Then came the house made pasta and that was ok except that one of our guest had pasta sauce spilled on her dress by a staff member. Following that was a long wait (possibly an hour) before the main course (salmon & chicken & roasted vegetables). When that finally came, about 50% of the guests were at other tables/bar or on the patio because they were not sure when/if it was coming. In addition, the sauce for the salmon that was agreed upon during the taste test did not make it onto the plates. For the drinks, we ordered the Taj Mahal (premium) and had a signature drink to be served but on the evening, this was not mentioned by the staff or served at the tables, so that didn't happen. Reflecting on that evening I was disappointed in the execution of the dinner service which really is the highlight of the reception and that fell flat on it's face. Unfortunately, Michael was not there to ensure that high standards were met and I think the staff was overwhelmed. One of our guest has her wedding set for August at the same location and is now having second thoughts about having booked here. I would think twice of having another event here.
