We recently had our wedding this past Saturday at YMG2. My wife and I were floored at how wonderful everything looked and felt. A number of guests also complimented the decor, and never knew this place existed since it's hidden in an industrial complex. Claire has been a great help from the start, being flexible with our numbers, and guiding us through the process. We had multiple compliments about the food, from the appetizers to the entree, and the speed of service . We used CaterTrendz Culinary. The bar was staffed with 2 bartenders and they were able to provide speedy service with getting the drinks out.
We would highly recommend YGM for any event! -

Under new ownership with major turnover. I booked my wedding there and it was the worst experience imaginable. I strongly recommend checking with your event planner beforehand and doing thorough due diligence before booking.

Wonderful venue!!
We just celebrated our wedding at YMG and it was incredible! So much is included when you book the space, there is tons of room to have your ceremony, cocktail, and reception all in one place. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food was - everything was smooth, on time, and everyone was professional and made our day so special. A very special thank you to Sanath and Rudy who went above and beyond! I can’t recommend this venue enough! -

We had our wedding reception at York Mills Gallery on July 12, 2025, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we were promised. While our planning process was smooth, the execution on the day of the event was disappointing and unprofessional.
The venue’s air conditioning failed during a heat wave, leaving 350 guests in an uncomfortably hot environment. When we inquired about the air conditioning during the event, we received conflicting explanations from staff. One manager insisted there was no issue at all, another told us that an open kitchen door had reduced the system’s effectiveness. Ultimately, after several excuses, the final response confirmed that the AC system had in fact failed and a technician had to be called.
Facility upkeep was also lacking. While washroom cleanliness is the responsibility of the attendant, three washroom stalls were completely out of service. Meanwhile, staff interactions with our vendors were unprofessional. Our caterer, who brought his own fryer due to equipment incompatibility, was wrongly accused of stealing a tray—an unnecessary and public confrontation that created tension and delays.
Late in the night, rather than contacting our event leads (whose phone numbers were provided), a staff member approached the groom directly and told him to clean up the bar area. This was not only inappropriate but deeply inconsiderate at the end of his own wedding celebration.
Guests also encountered issues with parking. We were assured full access to the lot, but due to unclear signage and a lack of coordination, many were shouted at by individuals from neighbouring properties and forced to move their cars—causing confusion and stress.
The venue’s post-event response took no ownership of these issues, instead offering excuses and redirecting blame. For the price paid, we expected better than malfunctioning amenities, mismanagement, and dismissive service. If the basics can’t be guaranteed, the least the venue could do is treat clients and their vendors with respect.
Avoid at all costs. -
