I can't recommend this venue enough
The staff at the Gladstone were so accommodating, kind and professional - they really made our day more than perfect. The atmosphere is so cool, the food is absolutely incredible, and they provide all the essentials for the venue (no renting tables, chairs etc!). Try to book the tower suite if you can - it is a beautiful two story apartment style room complete with kitchenette. It was the perfect size to get ready in (4 bridesmaids, two moms and me), we got our hair and makeup done on the first level while my husband got ready on the second level, and we had our first look on the roof!Sent on 24/09/2018
They really made our day so stress free, I can't thank everyone at the Gladstone enough.

Great experience - would recommend 10/10!
We loved the Gladstone and had a perfect night! It felt like we just showed up and the night went exactly as planned around us. They were flexible when we had a few last minute changes, and completely attentive the day of the wedding. It was perfect!Sent on 14/09/2018

Beautiful venue, terrible service.
My partner and I booked the Gladstone for our wedding, along with the Tower Suite for that night, and bar the fact that the hotel is a beautiful backdrop for pictures, it was an extreme disappointment.Sent on 18/06/2019
Be prepared to have to do all the work yourself, in terms of setting up/taking down, as EVERYTHING is an extra charge in this place. Need help setting up? It costs extra. Need to access the room before 4PM? It costs extra. And so on. Your wedding estimate will cover the bare minimum, so if you are working within a timeline, be prepared to pay for it. Also the wedding planner you will be working with will probably not be there on the day, as we found out, and you will have to deal with someone different altogether.
The staff were disorganised and indifferent on the day, messing up our music and leaving our guests wandering about with no direction, failing to announce the start of the ceremony or my partner and I as we entered the ballroom, turning the noisy dishwasher on during our speeches.
The tower suite has a great roof deck, but other than that is not worth paying for, as there isn't a hint of luxury in it. There are no robes, or anything even slighly 'honeymoon suite'. There isn't even a bottle of water. Book a room in another hotel for your wedding night.
And we didn't even get so much as a complimentary glass of champagne from the hotel, so don't expect any token of congratulations or appreciation.
All in all, a day that we had put so much time nad effort into planning unraveled at the last hurdle due to the hotel's incompetence and disinterest in us as a couple. We complained after, and they half-heartedly offered us a free night stay and dinner, but too little too late, so we declined. We chose the Gladstone originally as we lived nearby and loved it, but that relationship has totally soured now.
Final outcome: We happily exchanged our vows there, and got nice photos in the venue, but all in all, it was a very bad experience.

A Brilliant Evening. Thank you Gladstone!
From our wedding coordinator, to our technician, bartenders and servers - everyone was wonderful to work with. Our wedding coordinator was really wonderful to work with, and we always felt like she cared about our experience and our big day. The food was DELICIOUS, our guests raved about how fresh and tasty it was. I recommend this venue for everyone, but especially same sex couples as you can be assured of a very friendly and welcoming experience.Sent on 17/10/2018

Heart of Gold
After a lot of back and forth and mixed reviews, we booked with the Gladstone Hotel for our October 2018 wedding. We both felt SO strongly about the Gladstone being our wedding venue and am SUPER glad we trusted that gut feeling. I cannot recommend the Gladstone enough!Sent on 04/01/2019
After a few bumps in the road we were connected with Abbey who managed our wedding post booking. She is amazing, plain and simple. The event planning was well managed and decisions were made with guidance and thoughtful input from Abbey.
The food was delicious, and our guest were very impressed with the offerings. Having a venue that prioritized local and sustainably sourced foods was very important to my spouse and I. The wine list is great and cocktail selection was impressive. They allow a lot of flexibility in bar selections, has they have many.
There are many spaces you can book depending on your needs, we had the Full Ballroom and Gallery for our Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception of 100 people. I would say it was comfortable, but cozy. The venue is a diy space, so you can do alot in terms of decor, but you have to do the leg work. The staff is happy to assist, but you need to take the lead in terms of load-in, setup etc.
They delivered in everything we asked of them and they know how to host one hell of a party!
