It's an exciting time.. What does everyone have left to plan?

Bethany, on April 15, 2018 at 12:45 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 19
Hey everyone! Yesterday was my three month mark away from my wedding, so today I am less than three months away! What do you guys have left for planning?

On on my list is to make my backdrop, finish my wood cookies, buy my liquor license and marriage license and final meetings with my vendors.

Anyone else as excited as I am? Or want to have it done and over with at the same time lol

I’m excited but nervous at the same time, I just passed my three month mark as well! I still have to finish spray painting my centered pieces, creating our backdrop, find extra chair covers, decide on our meals, make seating arrangements, book another hair trial, purchase my FH ring ( he’s very picky), purchase our wedding license, and meet with my wedding commisioner, DJ, caterer, and photographer. So much to do!

    28 days to go for us!! All I have left is;

    - My bachelorette is next weekend

    - My hair trial in two weeks but not even worried as my good friend is a hairstylist and she's doing it.

    - final dress fitting next week. Again, not even worried as my FMIL is a seamstress and she's taking care of all the alterations for the wedding party.

    - purchase alcohol and drinks for the bar. This will be a few days before the wedding.

So not much of a list. I'm a big planner so I knew the final month would be laid back, twiddling thumbs lol

    Hi Ladies!
The countdown is on, and I’m starting to get really excited!
my to-dos left are as follows:
    -order wedding license
-meet and finalize payments with each vendor and wedding coordinator at our venue
    -get my dad his gift
-write my “love” letter for my groom to read on the big day
-start typing out addresses for labels to put on the invitations
-put together and send out invitations
    - bring jars for centre pieces to my florist
-go for my final dress fittings
    - make seating plan and chart
-put pictures on a USB to display at the wedding
    -print our kissing game cards
-find table numbers (this has been so hard for me, as I can’t find anything I like!)
-make a pic list for my photographer
    - make a preferred song list for DJ
    -put together favours
    -complete and finalize guest addresses
and most importantly, not to forget to have fun!
Making this list just reiderates how much I still have to do, good thing I’ve unlisted help!

100 days to go! I am excited! We have been working well as a team throughout this whole process so that has been great. Our wedding bands are being shipped, most of the wedding party gifts are bought, all dresses are in. Most of the big items are taken care of. We have to get our invitations designed and sent out this month. The guys do not need to be fitted for their suits until June. Still looking for shoes but I have my jewelry. We will be making a photo booth backdrop closer to the date with the help of my parents. Also need to book transportation for the day and a spot for a rehearsal dinner. Still need to confirm cake with the vendor and finalize menu with the venue. Cake tasting was fun! I am continually looking for the small details on our local wedding buy/sell page as well as Varage sale. The vision is there! I find there are a lot of small things that I don't want to forget about which is why the list seems to grow. We also need to order our wedding favours. I keep remembering things as I write this. Overall, since we are getting married on a Sunday, I feel very relaxed about the whole thing. My FH and I are also both teachers so we have the month of July to prepare and take care of anything then. Marriage lisence and liquor lisence will be bought soon too.

I feel like my list keeps getting smaller and larger at the same time!

We have to make our centrepieces.

I am putting together little boxes for people to write us notes that we will read on specific special occasions.

Shower/Bachelorette (which has now been scheduled!)

And, waiting for RSVPs to come in so we can start the tables! Still have 95 guests who need to RSVP (and some of those are still the wedding party!)

I am completely relaxed. It is just a big party. Yeah! (sarcasm).. I have transportation to book, but I can drive myself, however, I have been told, No! (shakes head). I am not worried. I don't really care, if things don't go, as they should. I am a Laid-back bride who would have been happy with signing a paper at city hall and be done with it. This is basically a party for our parents.

In the past couple weeks I’ve purchased my dress, got our rings made, paid the first catering deposit, got our marriage license and started acquiring some makeup to start experimenting with (I’m doing my own, mostly because I don’t care enough to have anything crazy done. I never wear makeup.)

    Still left to do:

    Find some clear sandals/flats.
Make our playlist and enquire about speaker rentals.
    Place order for tableware rental.
Get dress hemmed about a month from wedding day.
Get gifts for hubby to be, my MOH and photographer (a close friend. Her services are her gift to me, so I’m thanking her with an honorarium or gift).
Practice braid styles with a friend.
Get “trial run” gel manicure in a week or so to see how I like it enough to get another before wedding day.

That’s about it! Pretty small details. Everything is booked/done. Our honeymoon starts in 3 weeks, so I’m more focused on that! Smiley laugh

I decided on a different dress and just ordered it in today.... yikes but yet so excited because I am getting exactly what I love.

We are also having a hard time finding a suit for my groom, he wants a dark hunter green and its been super difficult to find anything in that colour.

I just have to decided on flowers (florist or DIY, I don't know) final decisions on food, hair and makeup trial and sizing my ring and his present (a watch). Otherwise I feel pretty on point with plans. Just the confusion of my dress but I now know what I want now so I am moving forward with that.

Just under 3 months left for us. I have my shoes to buy, make sure the groomsmen get their attire, chose the ring bearer and flower girl outfits and finalize the centre pieces.

Woo hoo! Same day, here Smiley smile I found I finally started to get excited last week, once the three month mark hit! I'm also a little stressed. I'm in my cousin's wedding next weekend so I think once that is complete, I can really focus on the big day.

I ordered our invites yesterday! Have to get those out, deal with licenses, meet with our day-of planner to sort out a timeline, buy FH a ring, and just pick-up a couple more things for decor (seating chart, paper for the table numbers, place cards, etc).

Biggest challenge so far is finding an affordable place to hold a rehearsal dinner on a Friday. I have a place in mind but the manager has yet to call back.

We are just under 2 months. Today we are meeting with our officiant to go over our ceremony. In the next few weeks we will be meeting with our wedding planner to start our day of timeline and then once that is completed we will be meeting with our photographer to go over any other details we need to with him. Once we get our final numbers in (we are still waiting on some of my FH's family members to send in their RSVPs...grrrrrr) we can then start our escort cards and our seating chart. I will have another dress fitting within a few weeks and meet with my hair dresser soon too. I think we have pretty much everything under control. I always have the feeling of missing something but I wouldn't even know where to start looking to figure out if I have!

We’re four months out now, it is getting very exciting! Mostly little things left to do. My FMIL got us dance lessons for Christmas so that’s next on the list lol. I also need to finish my centerpieces/ wood cookies and mason jars. My bachelorette is at the end of next month and then dress alterations beginning of June. There’s definitely always something to keep me busy!

I'm excited, but just ready to have this done. I have lots of little things to do so it SEEMS like a lot but it's quick.

    - Final Vendor meetings (DJ, Officiant, florist)

    - Finalize our must have family picture list. 98% done.

    - Choose Father/Daughter and Son/Mother dance songs.

    - Finalize who is doing speeches (We still need to ask my FH's mom)

    - Finalize what reading is being done during the wedding

    - Purchase the Marraige Licence. The form is filled out, i'll go in and grab it in about 2 weeks.

    - Check out the venue one last time to confirm what final bits of decor I need. And then purchase them.

    - Complete my dress alterations

    - Have my bacherlotte (which is planned) and my Bridal Shower (which is planned)

    - Complete seating chart once RSVPs are in.
