14 days to go

Rosalyn, on August 3, 2018 at 21:29 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 14
I’ve now turned into the weather watcher...and going crazy.
When we booked our venue and ceremony spaces, we also tried to book a “back up” space in case of rain. And LITERALLY every. Single. Spot. WAs booked by the other 100 brides getting married that same day....I know weather changes durastically from day to day in southern Alberta but I can’t help but crap my pants when it shows 15-20mm rain on the wedding day....
hopedully I can find some tents 😂😬😱

Worst case scenario maybe? The room is so tiny and barely fits the tables and guests. But we’d make it work if we needed to

Yes! And in the end, the forecast kept changing from hour to hour, and we didn't get a single drop of rain.

My wedding day was sunny at noon, stormy by ceremony time. We ended up finishing our ceremony in the reception space. It worked. Wasn't as beautiful but it didn't matter: we still got married.

Can you use your reception space as the back up plan?

So true! We’ve been looking into 10’x10’ tent - hoping that would be enough for 50 guests

I woke up this morning and immediately checked the weather too! Now that we can finally see it! I’m going to try and not drive myself crazy over the weather - you’re right it can change so fast!!

Just om the safer side, it's good to have something over your head and keeping all your guests dry too.

I've been watching the weather forecast every single day for the last two weeks. Until yesterday, it was looking very good, and then suddenly it changed and now it's supposed to rain all afternoon... We don't have much of a back up plan for pictures, apart from umbrellas if it's just light rain.

The weather is never anyone's frisnd at all. You will need a tent as a cover up and hope you find it soon to get arranged for yome set up. It seems most venues get booked up so fast these days.
