  Knowledgeable Staff

  We rented one of their DIY Party Packages and the staff were very knowledgeable in explaining to us how to use the equipment and how to setup. They also helped us load everything into the truck. We weren't able to use the Gobo projector, but they were very flexible and let us exchange it for an additional microphone. The uplights looked so amazing, we didn't even need a backdrop, and the sound system exceeded our expectations - very clear sound with strong bass, the dance floor was packed all night!

  Great team to work with

  The new owner of Starlite is such a great guy! Not only did he honor a package I had won over a year before ownership had changed, he worked so hard to get everything exactly how I wanted it with barely any notice (my bad). He and his son do a great job explaining how all of the lights work and the best ways to use them. They work so hard to please their clients, I will always recommend them! They also helped me load and unload my car with all the rentals which was very helpful. Ps. The LED color changing cube seats are so so cool, everyone loved them at our wedding!!

  I was notified by this company that I had won their sweepstakes giveaway for 2 free uplights and a projector for my wedding day. I went to their store and arranged all of the details about 11 months before my wedding. Two weeks before the wedding I called to confirm everything. Twelve days before the wedding, they called and said that they wouldn't be able to accommodate my rental because they planned to be out of the office on the day of my pickup. I questioned it since I had just confirmed with them a couple days earlier. I couldn't change the pickup date since we had a destination wedding. They did nothing at all to accommodate me for the inconvenience. I had to send a friend to pick it up at their store which is not a convenient location in the city. They gave her the wrong projector and she had to go back again to pick up a different one. It was a debacle and they didn't do anything to compensate for what was clearly their mistake. I suspect that they had a customer who actually needed the items and they bumped me since I was just a sweepstakes winner. That's really not fair since I planned on those items for the whole ambiance of my reception. Overall, there was a lot they could have done to make this situation or, better yet, avoided it.

  We paid $1200 for DJ and lighting. Ehen we arrived the uplights we not the color we'd asked for. They were blue and not even all the same shade of blue. They also werent in the correct locations. The gobo was nowhere to be found and when I asked the DJ about these things he told me he just picks the stuff up and brings it and basically its not his problem. The dance floor was empty most of the night and he refused to play requests. When I called to complain 2 days later I was told I wasnt entitled to a refund or anything because I tipped him. Terrible service, terrible quality. Look elsewhere.

  They called me up to tell me I had won a free rental of an uplight and a gobo projector. Great! I rented more items from them in return. Great service and lots of selection to choose from.

  It was such a pleasure to deal with Starlite!
  
  Awesome rentals at the BEST PRICE hands down in Calgary.
  
  We rented our microphone, 2 speakers, all the connecting cords for a mac, a projector and a screen for $185.00. The projector quality was awesome.
  
  For our dance we had downloaded a playlist of YouTube videos to have a video dance party and there were no hiccups.
  
  They set everything up for you and test it before you leave.
