destroyed out dance floor
Unfortunately, on removal it caused significant damage to our floor. When no one from the company arrived to remove the wrap, and with another wedding approaching, we attempted to remove it ourselves. After damaging the finish on the first two tiles, we insisted the company come down to remove it. They sent a team of six people who spent four hours cutting each tile to remove the wrap, again using heat guns which revealed significant damage. approximately 130 of the 340 tiles had the finish removed from them.
After repeated telephone contact, using multiple number as they ignored calls from our business line, the company's solution was to visit the next day and remove the top lamination from our damaged floor, replacing it with thin, residential stick-on tiles. This repair compromised the integrity of the floor, and the stick-on tiles began to come loose immediately, creating a significant liability risk if we had used the floor.
As a temporary fix, we rented a dance floor and ordered a new one from Snaplock, the same as our previous floor. Despite the extensive damage and their unsatisfactory solution, the company refused to take responsibility. They were rude, insinuated that we were at fault for trying to remove the wrap (just two tiles), and even suggested that we were attempting to get a new floor from them due to the age of our existing one (less that 5 years, and Snaplock has at least a 12 year life expectancy).
The only exception to this poor service was a young man from the company who genuinely tried to rectify the situation but lacked the support needed from his team.
We’ve had to retain the $1,000 damage deposit from the couples, though it barely covers a fraction of the $8,000 floor. Concept Floor Wraps has informed us that they will refund this deposit directly to the couples, leaving us to resolve the matter on our own
I strongly advise against working with 'Concept Floor Wraps.' Their lack of integrity and customer service is unacceptable.
