We had the most perfect wedding day at Waupoos Estates Winery and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning of the planning process, everything felt effortless — and so much of that was thanks to Rikki, our Wedding & Events Manager. She was incredibly kind, professional, organized, and so helpful in the lead-up to the wedding. She answered every question, helped us navigate all the little details, and made us feel completely supported throughout the entire process. On the wedding day itself, she made everything run seamlessly and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every moment.
The food was absolutely incredible — huge props to the chef and the entire culinary team! The quality, presentation, and attention to detail were outstanding, and we are still having guests tell us how amazing the food was a year later.
Beyond the incredible service, Waupoos is simply such a beautiful and special venue. It was the perfect setting for our wedding and created so many unforgettable memories for us and our guests. Thank you to the entire Waupoos team for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough! -

Let’s first talk about Rikki and her team - WOW, what a group of absolute pros! Rikki is outstanding at her job and we could not have asked for a better event coordinator. Rikki helped expertly guide us through the planning process, providing recommendations, guidance, and answering any questions we had with genuine care. I never felt like a bother to her as she was truly happy to help. Thank you so much Rikki and team!!
As for the venue itself - Waupoos is truly stunning and you will not regret booking your wedding here. The backdrop of Lake Ontario and vineyards is one of a kind and multiple guests commented on how beautiful it all was. Plus, the food is some of the best I have ever had (and Chef accommodated my gluten and dairy allergy + everyone else’s restrictions/preferences). People are still talking about his brisket! Seriously, we could not have asked for anything more and 100% recommend Waupoos Estates! -

We are thrilled with our experience with Waupoos and with Rikki. Rikki was always incredibly helpful and responsive. It is hard to overstate how timely, effective, and accurate all of our communication with the venue was. She and the team took such care to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of.
Re: Food and Beverage: The team was very flexible with creating a custom dish and signature cocktails with us. The food and drinks were incredible. We think almost all of the plates went back to the kitchen empty. We had so many comments from our guests about how great the serving staff and bar service were.
The venue included tables, chairs, dishware, napkins, etc. We wanted to integrate some of our own items alongside theirs, and they were super flexible with this, and returned our items to us at the end of the night with care.
Our only worry with booking Waupoos was whether to go ahead with an outdoor wedding in July. Our wedding ended up taking place on one of the hottest days of the year with minimal breeze or cloud cover. Most of the ceremony seating is in the direct sun. We did our best to mitigate the heat (Cold water was available at all times starting when guests arrived, we had fans for guests to use, and there were fans in the dance floor area - unfortunately the large fan for the dinner area was not working). Everyone was very hot and very sweaty, but still had an amazing time. If we could go back in time knowing the weather, we absolutely still would have chosen this venue, but maybe incorporated some extra cooling strategies. There were some bugs at night as well but we had bug spray out for guests which worked well. Also a huge kudos to the Waupoos team for still delivering excellent service and working so hard during the heat.
Waupoos does an amazing job upkeeping the grounds and the tent. Our guests had a great time taking sunset photos with the vines or playing cornhole on the lawn. The only negative is the metal arch in the ceremony area which needs some more upkeep. It is hard to put any drapery to fully cover it due to the breeze off the lake. There are lots of photos in other reviews of creative ways couples have covered it. We had our florist do some draping and chose to just embrace what could still be seen (it’s an outdoor wedding after all!) and our ceremony was still so beautiful.
Overall, our wedding day was everything he had hoped for (just a few degrees too hot). As long as you understand the flexibility that can be required with an outdoor wedding, I’d recommend this venue to anyone considering it! -

After having to cancel our destination wedding, we had to plan an entirely new wedding in just 2 months in Ontario. We landed upon Waupoos Estates Winery in our search for a new venue, and within the first few emails I knew this was the place. They were so kind and accommodating regarding our circumstances, and Rikki was SO responsive. We had gone back and forth emailing 20x before other venues even gave me a hello. She answered all my questions and set my mind at ease knowing I was in excellent hands (as a very type A bride). When we went for a site visit, she and chef Kevin were so accommodating, kind, and professional. Rikki ensured all details were sorted for me, and jumped in to put out so many little fires on wedding day. She kept me so calm and well taken care of. The staff were all so incredible, I genuinely cannot find a bad thing to say about this place. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I'd recommend this place to any couple for their wedding hands down, their hospitality is excellent and they truly went above and beyond for us. We cannot wait to take a little trip back and visit soon. Thank you so much to Rikki, chef Kevin, and the rest of the Waupoos staff - you are all angels! -

My partner and I got married at Waupoos Estates Winery this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing. The Wedding Coordinator, Rikki, has been incredibly helpful from the moment we booked the venue, to organizing everything leading up to the wedding, to the wedding day. The day wouldn't have been as smooth without her and her staff. The bartenders in particular were so much fun. We can't wait to visit Waupoos in future to reminisce on our beautiful day. -

I can't say enough about the Waupoos venue and the staff! We worked with Rikki who was an absolute life saver when it came to the planning process as well as the day of! I had so many questions prior to the wedding and Rikki was so responsive to every question and the venue was very flexible when it came to decor, food menu choices and all aspects of your day! I felt in control of my day and not that I was restricted. The day of was perfect and the staff was so excellent when it came to the set up, clean up, bartending and anything needed throughout the day! My husband and I received so much wonderful feedback regarding the venue and food! If you want to blow your guests away this is a perfect spot, we loved every minute of our day and thank you to all the Waupoos Staff!! -

We had the best experience with Waupoos for our wedding! The venue is so beautiful and the staff are so kind and accommodating. Rikki, the events coordinator, is amazing! She must have answered 200+ questions from me over the course of the year that I was planning our wedding and she was always so nice and helpful. They were incredibly accommodating and really care to make sure your day is special and exactly how you want it. The food and the wine are amazing, we got so many comments from our guests! The dock is a magical place for a wedding ceremony and the tent is a great place for the reception with a large area for tables and a separate large dance floor. We also recommend staying across the street in the farmhouse. It's so convenient and makes for a great spot for photographs! Thank you Waupoos!!
