The Ceremony site at Covert Farms, being right under the Chief rockface, is a very spiritually powerful place. It's hard to imagine a more beautiful setting to get married. The reception site is also ideal, so many fun things for kids to do which makes Covert a very family friendly wedding venue. Shelley and Gene are so hard working, they will work as hard as they need to to make sure your day is perfect. Covert Farms offers an all around memorable experience for guests that is very authentic and unique. Excellent!

Shelly was wonderful from the beginning. She was able to provide advice but also allow us to try new things. She was always very responsive and open to my questions. Covert Farms was the most magical place to get married and have our reception. I couldn't have asked for a better day!

We had the best day at Covert Farms!! We were considering venues from Ontario to British Columbia but once we stumbled across Covert Farms it was an easy decision. Every site is so stunning-from the ceremony site to the views from the bridal suite. We had our guests transported in the red truck (which was also used for numerous guest photo ops!) from site to site. The reception area is beautiful and was modified perfectly for our smaller event. Our live band was delighted that the band stand was shaded and the wide open spaces and yard games kept all our guests (from 2 years old to 60) entertained. We planned this wedding pre-covid, re-planned, re-planned again and Shelly could not have been more accommodating. She kept us up to date with provincial restrictions, moved our date thrice and ensured every detail was taken care of prior to the event. She went above and beyond to assist us in our planning- from organizing detailed planning and timeline sheets, to assisting us with getting our rentals as we are from out of province. Everyone who assisted with the event was so great- Gene, for the the superb wine, driving and geology lesson. Sam, for the excellent bartending and tequila-sourcing, Faolin, for keeping me and my dress/hair out of the sprinklers, and Shelly, for everything. See you next year for anniversary wine tasting!

Where do I begin? Covert Farms is one of the most beautiful wineries/farms and wedding venues I have ever seen. All of our guests were blown away with the landscape and all the venue had to offer. Shelly and Gene Covert, the owners of Covert Farms have been incredible to work with over the past two years, especially through a pandemic. Every detail of our wedding day was so well thought out and so much care was put into the planning with Shelly. During our reception the venue set up wine tastings and charcuterie for our guests, farm tours, endless lawn games and even a slip and slide which some of the guests tested out. The staff was amazing, the wine tastes incredible, I cannot say enough. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and Covert Farms will forever be such a special place in our hearts. For anyone considering getting married in the Okanagan, what a stunning venue to choose.

Very early on after getting engaged, we decided we wanted to get married outside, in a vineyard setting. Once we started actively looking at winery’s in the Oliver area, not one accommodated even close to the number of guests we were hoping to have, around 100, and nothing really blew me away scenery wise. Upon meeting with Shelly Covert at Covert Farms we were pleasantly surprised. She showed us a few different areas of the farm we could have our ceremony, even a backup option in case it rained, and made everything we wanted possible including wine tasting for the guests after the ceremony. The view and the background was to die for and many of our guests told us that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever seen. We couldn’t have chosen a better location (or weather) for our wedding day. The photos of us actually getting married are spectacular, as well as the family photos we took, and of course Gene drove us around in the most amazing little truck, to take candid shots in the vineyard. It was a day we will never forget. We have decided on each of our anniversary’s that we will crack open a bottle of Covert Farms wine to remember the most amazing day. Thank you for the most spectacular day Shelly, Gene and the entire staff at Covert Farms Winery! We feel so lucky that you allowed us to say our “I dos” on your property.

We got married at Covert in June 2023, and it was like a dream come true. The farm is just beautiful - in particular, the ceremony site has spectacular views of the Osoyoos valley and the surrounding landscape. The reception site is also lovely. There is a games area that kept all the children occupied while the adults sipped Covert's excellent wine. Gene and Shelly are warm, thoughtful and supportive, and did everything they could to make the day smooth and enjoyable. I can't say enough good things about Covert!

Covert Farms was our perfect venue! We were so thrilled to be able to plan our wedding among the vineyards, orchards, trees, animals, wine and organic food! (All the best things). We loved the wooden barn and we were even able to have a live band perform. There are awesome elements such as games available and wine tastings for guests. I feel there is so many options for creativity. We were thankful as it took us many months to find a spot that embodied who we are.
Our theme was bohemian which I think suited the venue very well.

Shelly (the owner and venue planner) was very professional and kind. She works extremely hard on your event day which was a ton of work! We were able to use the truck to get photos around the venue and we had Gene (owner as well) take us around- we had a blast!

We had the best experience at Covert Farms for our September wedding. The team was so helpful and creative in making sure our day was not only special, but perfect, especially amidst constantly changing COVID restrictions. The ceremony site was beautiful, and our guests had the best time wine tasting and visiting with the farm animals. Everyone told us what a unique venue it was, unlike any wedding they'd ever been to. It was the perfect fit for us. We had the best day ever, and a big part of that was choosing Covert Farms as our venue.

We got married at Covert Farms in July 2020! We both grew up in Oliver, and Covert Farms was always high on our list of possible venues. We knew how beautiful the reception site was from attending previous events (open-air barn...it really doesn’t get better). The ceremony site is located about a 5 minute drive from the wine shop/reception site, nestled within the vineyard, and overlooking Oliver. As soon as we saw the ceremony site, we knew Covert Farms was exactly where we wanted to celebrate!

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we were tasked with re-planning our wedding in a short amount of time. However, Shelly was very accommodating. Due to the uncertainty regarding large events, she was willing to let us keep our current date, book a second date in the fall, and book a third date for next year; she mentioned she planned to accommodate all of the 2020 weddings before booking any new weddings.

Ultimately, we decided to continue with our original date, on a much smaller scale (reduced from 180 people, to 21 people), and we are so happy we did!

Although we adjusted our plans to only have our ceremony at Covert Farms, Shelly helped us organize a champagne toast to be held in the same location, right after the ceremony, and she ensured all Covid-19 requirements were in place. Additionally, much to our surprise the day-of, our sisters had spent weeks coordinating with Shelly to have 20 vehicles with family and friends tailgate from a distance (while also socially-distancing between themselves) at the ceremony site. It was so special! Not only did some of our family and friends get to watch our ceremony from a distance, but they also got to partake in our champagne toast by preordering wine by vehicle. It really made our day, and our sisters also noted Shelly was so helpful with the entire process!

We would highly recommend having your wedding (big or small) at Covert Farms!

Our wedding at Covert Farms was absolutely incredible! From the breathtaking scenery at the ceremony site to the picturesque setting for our reception, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The reception site is ideal for both kids and adults with a lawn full of activities just steps from the dance floor and bandshell. Shelly and her team were exceptional to work with and very accommodating. We would undoubtedly recommend Coverts Farms to anyone thinking of having a wedding in the South Okanagan. We can’t wait to go back every year for our anniversary! :)
