Hi everyone, my name is Drew and I am the founder of SunflowerFilms. I also happen to wear many other hats as most freelance Videographer/Photographers do when it comes to running your own business.

Long Story short I’ve always dreamt of working in the film industry. Growing up and even into my college days I was told there was no practical way of making a living creating films unless you attend a well known film school and work inside the industry in either Toronto, Vancouver or Los Angela’s. Fast forward a few years I'm halfway through a college program to become a police officer and can no longer hold back this creative itch. I had filmed my first wedding this same year and now know this is an industry I can be a part of, and hopefully focus my career around. I push through another year, graduate my policing program and immediately apply to film school. I’m accepted shortly after at York University for Film Production but soon realize a 4-year program is just going to take way too long to start my career as a filmmaker, and instead, I just start. For a few years I worked as a full time content creator running social media for a few different companies while bartending (specifically weddings that is) and filming weddings on the weekends. I credit these few crucial years to truly learning my craft, falling in love with photography and developing a style as a filmmaker and photographer.

Since the beginning of SunflowerFilms we have filmed and photographed more than 20 plus weddings and counting. Still having wedding photography/videography as our main focus I do still freelance as a cinematographer and drone pilot for other production companies as well as shoot as a professional photographer for tourism, magazines, and companies across Ontario. Weddings will always be my main focus and it’s what I do best. If it’s a wedding video you are looking for you can often expect myself to be at your wedding with a camera in my hand or directing my talented team of videographers throughout the day. If it’s photography it will most likely be myself and my talented brother, co-founder and photographer/videographer Hayden. Side note, were often mistaken as the same person regardless of the 2.5yr difference in age, but if you need to find me on your wedding day just look for the better looking one.

Myself and my team have a very “fly on the wall” style of capturing your day as we believe it’s important to keep the focus on the two of you and to minimize our presence so we don’t distract from yourselves or your guests. Although if there is something specific we are looking at capturing…we will get it, haha.

I’m here to be a part of the entire process. I’ve worked as a bartender, waiter, photographer and videographer in the wedding industry so if there is anything I can do to help, whether that’s connecting you to other vendors or sharing some insider knowledge, I’m here to help.

Hi everyone, my name is Matt and i've been a part time videographer with SunflowerFilms for the past few years now.

Since I was a kid I have always been fascinated by movies. I loved knowing that the end result I saw on screen came from an idea and a culmination of individual creativity. After attending college for Acting for Film and Television, I realized my love for telling stories and translating it to the screen. I have wanted to be a part of that process ever since.

Hi everyone, I'm Hayden and i'm one of the Co-founders as well as a lead videographer and photographer for SunflowerFilms.

I would like to say I fell in love with video/photography because of my dad. Anywhere we went he always had a camera, constantly taking pictures! I fall more and more in love with the craft each and everyday! Constantly finding new ways to improve and deliver a better product each time. I found something I love to do for work and on my own time.....that’s dangerous haha!
