Platinum Rides

Terrible experience for my wedding day. We booked them for a few key rides and they completely dropped the ball. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone ever.

First, they were supposed to pick up the bridal party and my parents from our getting ready location. We rented a hummer stretch limo. It was one of the hottest and most humid days of the year and the AC didn’t work. The driver said it was on maximally but no cold air was coming out of the vents, just warm air. It was clearly not working, and there were a number of other damages to the car interior such as lights being taped together, cracks in the window glass, and used napkins and garbage from a previous party. We were sweating so much and very uncomfortable.

My parents had another car that was supposed to drive them home from the venue. It showed up an hour late so my poor parents were waiting alone there and trying to get an Uber instead.

The ride home did get us, but interestingly the driver said he was not employed by Platinum Rides but by Acme Limo. I suppose platinum was contracting jobs out because they didn’t actually have enough drivers or cars.

Platinum rides really did not live up to even the most bare minimum expectations. Do not choose them for anything, especially if you have an important event to attend at a specific time, you don’t want to be left stranded, or don’t want to be melting and sweating buckets in a dirty limo with no AC.
