I’m a wife, mother of two, passionate baker, an event planner, and I’m on the journey to live more sustainably.
I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to do what I love and call it my career: event management with eco-friendly solutions. Planning events with sustainable efforts is something I’m learning about and it excites me that there are now so many options to implement earth-friendly choices in our events and celebrations.
William Shakespeare coined the phrase, “All the world’s a stage”, which happens to be one of my favourite quotes and something that deeply resonates with me. It’s made me understand my purpose--my mark on this stage--which is to leave the world in a much cleaner, brighter, and healthier state than it was when I entered. I want my children, and my children’s children to reap the benefits we sow today.
In the past 15 years, I have planned almost 200 weddings ranging from intimate gatherings, to large-scale celebrations, DIY and budget-friendly weddings, as well as chic and elegant affairs. My experience working in boutique hotels and managing one of a kind venue spaces provide me with the knowledge of how events run behind the scenes, which allows for a much more smooth and well-executed wedding.
