If you want to say "our wedding day was perfect" then you have to work with Smitten. From the first point of contact, everything was easy, transparent, and all about the couple. They provided amazing pointers, helped us build our vision, and simply just made our day exactly how we wanted it.
While I'm sure everyone at Smitten is great to work with, if you are lucky enough to work with Sarah you will be in the best hands. The number of people that came up to me to tell me how amazing Sarah was was crazy! I had people asking me for her contact information in case they need it in the future - she is that good. Sarah not only made things easy, she kept the day running smoothly and on time, and everything was handled with a smile on her face. There were a few things that happened during the evening that neither us as the bride and groom nor our families even knew about, as Sarah handled it before it became an issue.
Overall, don't think twice about using Smitten - reach out to them ASAP so you can have them for your special day! -

We had the pleasure of working with Megan and her team for a ‘two month take-over’ for our wedding. While my mother and I had already done most of the planning, we really appreciated connecting with Smitten so that we could enjoy the last few weeks without any stress. From the moment we connected with Megan, we knew we were in great hands. Megan did an amazing job coordinating with all our vendors and ensuring the day went smoothly. She was an excellent communicator and always responded promptly to any questions. It was easy to set up meetings with her and we always felt our opinions and requests were respected.
When a few last minute curveballs were thrown our way, she handled them with ease - whenever she brought up an issue, she had already prepared a number of solutions to bring forward as well. On the day of, I felt like she was a mind-reader - as soon as I had a thought that I needed something, she was right there checking in, or bringing me a drink, or fixing a problem I hadn’t even noticed yet. I cannot recommend Megan and Smitten events enough, and would recommend them to anyone planning a special event! -

We had Jordan for their two month takeover package and I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. If I could do it all over again I probably would have saved myself the trouble and just book them for the full wedding planning service they offer. Learning how to do this all on your own and the amount of time you spend on this is no joke people! You do not realize these things until after your wedding. Jordan is so sweet and just full of positive energy that I left our meetings feeling so stress free.. even though I knew there was still a lot of work on my end that needed to be done! If anything went wrong the day of, I have no knowledge of it because she took care of everything. We loved the personalized napkins that she surprised us with during our rehearsal. We started overthinking everything the few weeks leading up to the wedding and she was able to put up with us and our numerous emails. Everything turned out perfect and then some. Keep doing what you do because you're great at it! -

We hired Francesca at Smitten to help with our wedding planning. Hands down, it was the best money we spent. We planned our Galiano Island wedding remotely from Toronto so having Francesca locally made the process sooo much easier. She did such a great job of translating our vision for the perfect day into reality. Everything from the decor, to the set up of the ceremony, to the overall flow of events and vibe, was perfect. Her suggestions for a live musician, graphic designer, and most of the decor were supremely helpful and not something we would have come up with ourselves. We were super busy with a renovation and new baby during the lead up, so having Francesca keep us on track and manage the details was incredibly valuable. Looking back, we are so happy with how everything went. 100000000% recommended!! -

If you are having a wedding, you should definitely use Smitten Events and if you are having a wedding in "The Pipe Shop" then without a doubt, you need Smitten Events!!! I had planned for my wedding to happen just after the busiest time in my workplace and as much as I didn't want to admit it, I really needed help. Smitten Events not only provided this support but our wedding planner, Devon Dunn, went absolutely above and beyond.
Everything that I didn't think about logistically, Devon noticed it right away and brought it to my attention. She organized everything so fantastically amongst the vendors, timing and event that my guests are still telling me how it was "the best wedding [they'd] ever been to" or how they were in absolute "awe in how perfect everything was."
Not only did she do an incredible job planning the wedding, Devon is also one of the most genuine human beings I've ever met. Her kindness and understanding nature made for the perfect person to communicate and work with - vendors included. I literally cried at the end of the night because she helped my husband and I achieve our dream wedding and I honestly am going to miss her because she is an amazing, selfless and thoughtful person. Aside from my husband, it is the first time that I knew right away that I had chosen the right person!

We chose Smitten Events to help plan our June 2017 wedding at UBC Botanical Gardens. My wife and I were so happy to have hired Robyn and it was one of the best decisions of our wedding planning experience. Robyn was patient, helpful, understanding and most of all knowledgable when it came to all the questions that we had. Robyn knew what to remind us of and when, brought up ideas that we had not thought of and she had the best vendor recommendations to fit our budget and our personalities. We also appreciated Robyn's sense of humour and relaxed demeanour on the day of our wedding. Robyn and her team had everything under control and ready for us when we arrived at the venue. We had someone that knew both of us, what our vision was and Robyn nailed it perfectly. We would both recommend Robyn to any of our friends and family planning an event and we are so glad to have had Robyn be a part of our wedding. Thanks again! -

I worked with Smitten Events to plan my wedding and I can say with absolute certainty that our wedding would not have turned out as wonderful as it did without the help of Devon and her team. Devon was always incredibly professional and was always available to discuss questions or even for moral support along the way!
We engaged Smitten for their partial planning package, which included consultations, site visits and full day-of coordination which included everything from the 2 months leading up to the day - communicating with vendors, creating a detailed timeline, coaching our MC's and much more! The most value was by far their amazing vendor referrals. I went into our planning sessions with a list of moderately researched vendors and ideas , and came out with lists and key contacts and personal referrals to Vancouver's top wedding vendors. These recommendations are without a doubt what made our wedding so fantastic. Everything from DJ, to cake, to floral, Smitten understood what we wanted and had the right connections for us.
I ended up adding on "a la carte" floral and decor vendor management services, and Devon accompanied me to our design meetings and we had an absolute blast turning our vision into real life!
After consulting with various planners, I found Smitten not only incredibly professional with lots of industry knowledge, they were humble and it was clear they cared a lot about their clients and the work they did. I loved that they did not charge me for every text or phone call and were available when I had a wedding crises or two on my hands. This was important to me, as weddings are so personal and I didn't want it to feel like a business transaction! Their passion for their work so obvious and made working together so much fun. -

Maddy L. Sent on 23/09/2017We loved Francesca. She is a wedding superhero. She was incredibly helpful during the three month take over. I am a bit high strung (so is my mom) and brought my anxiety and stress way down (and my mom's too). During the wedding I did not have to worry about a thing. The three month take over is the way to go and Francesca is your lady! My Mom keeps telling all her friends how amazing Francesca was and I could not agree more. Thank you Smitten and Francesca for making my wedding such a special day. -

Andrea B. Sent on 02/08/2017I cannot recommend Smitten Events highly enough. I had Devon’s help to plan my wedding (partial planning), and Jordan helped out on the weekend as well. It was a really tricky wedding, spanning a whole weekend at a children’s summer camp that doesn’t normally do weddings, so we were on our own to do everything – and they helped pull it all off, so much better than I could have ever imagined. I can’t imagine how it would have been without their help! They even stayed overnight and slept in one of the rustic children’s cabins (as it was the only accommodations available) without hesitation! I am so grateful to those two women, I had the most amazing, carefree day, everything was more beautiful than I could have hoped for, and it is all because of them!
