It’s hard to put into words how grateful we are to Iris, because she became such an important part of not only our wedding day, but the entire experience of planning it.

I came into wedding planning incredibly organized, with a project management background, many of our vendors already booked, and a very clear vision for how we wanted the day to feel. What I didn’t know was how to take all of those ideas and actually turn them into something real. From our first design deck, Iris understood us in a way that made me immediately feel like we had found the right person. She took what we had envisioned and made it better, more thoughtful and more interesting. Our wedding was broken into different Acts, each with its own feeling, and somewhere in that deck she casually introduced the idea of living lampshades at our reception and I was basically like, obviously yes, we need those. Haha. She understood that we wanted something beautiful and elegant, but we also wanted to surprise people and have a little fun with it.

What made me trust Iris so much, though, was that she wasn’t afraid to challenge us. I had A LOT of ideas and definitely liked to push the envelope, and she was never just going to say yes for the sake of saying yes. Sometimes I needed a very kind version of “slow your roll, here are some things to think about...” and I genuinely loved that about her. She gave us her real opinion, helped us understand the why, and then figured out how to make the ideas that mattered most actually happen. Whether she was helping us through an unexpected vendor cancellation a month before the wedding or figuring out how on earth we were going to transform Graydon Hall from cream draping to burgundy during our candlelit ceremony, I always felt like we had someone incredibly capable in our corner.

And then the wedding came, and somehow everything we had spent so much time imagining just... happened around us. The room transformation I had been so nervous about was absolute perfection. The timeline ran practically down to the minute, yet we never felt rushed. We were able to be completely present, relaxed and happy while Iris and her team quietly handled what felt like a million moving pieces around us. Our families were blown away, we were blown away, and the entire day was somehow even better than what we had pictured in our heads.

Iris is incredibly creative, thoughtful, honest, calm, detail-oriented and genuinely just wonderful to work with. She was even thoughtful with our budget and came in under on so many things... until we decided to throw the budget out the window and keep adding more, which was entirely our fault 😂.

More than anything, I’m just so grateful she was part of this chapter of our lives. Our wedding felt completely and unmistakably like us, and I know that wouldn’t have happened in the same way without her. If I could go back and do it all over again, choosing Iris would be one of the easiest decisions I’d make.

I was a 2025 bride and had the absolute privilege of having Iris provide full-planning services for my Graydon wedding. Looking back on the 1.5 years spent together, I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions I've ever made! Weddings are so deeply personal, and from the very beginning it was important to us to find someone who wasn't just talented, but also someone we would truly enjoy sharing this long-term journey with. Iris and her team were ALL of that and MORE!

From our first budget meeting to the final clean-up, every detail / workstream was handled with such care, thoughtfulness and precision. Nothing ever slipped through the cracks. The mood board she created for our design deck matched my vision to a tee, despite the fact that I had only given her a very general - and, if I'm being honest, rather vague - guidance in the beginning. My bridesmaids were equally impressed by the level of detail she put into the dresses, the color palette and even the small touches (i.e. font style, fabrics) that perfectly tied together the overall vibe of our wedding. The vendors she recommended were absolutely top-notch, and every suggestion she gave us - even down to the menu - helped made our day smoother, more beautiful and more memorable than we could have managed on our own.

In addition, Iris' responsiveness is unmatched. Her replies were almost instant, and her attention towards us made us feel like we were her only clients even though I knew she was juggling other couples at the same time (though she always makes sure to not overbook!). One moment that really stuck with us was when, just days before the wedding, the weather made a turn for an unusually chillier evening than what was planned. Iris spent her weekend sourcing blankets for our guests so that we could feel completely at ease and that everyone would still be comfortable. That kind of dedication truly showed us how much she cares about her couples!

On the wedding day itself, Iris and her team were extraordinary. Every step of the way, we had someone by our side - making sure we were cared for, coordinating seamlessly with vendors and handling everything behind the scenes so we never had to worry about a thing. Our families, bridal party, and most importantly, my husband and I, were able to be fully present and soak in every moment because Iris and her team had EVERYTHING under control.

As such, it's hard to put into words how grateful I am. BLE didn’t just plan a wedding - they gave us one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives! Iris guided us through the ups and downs of planning with such grace, professionalism and heart. If you’re even considering working with a planner, please don’t hesitate to reach out as I did. It's impossible to overstate just how important Iris was for our wedding day. We can't say it enough- we wouldn't have been able to organize a wedding a fraction as beautiful as she did on our own. We feel like her design and plans matched our ideal day perfectly, and made the whole process of managing vendors just so easy. Aside from monthly meetings, there was very little for us to follow up on or stress about. Iris saved us from a countless number of hours researching, calling, emailing, and following up- which made the day itself so much more beautiful. She remained flexible, incredibly open to feedback and input, and through the past 1.5+ years of planning, helped us navigate all of the challenges that were put in front of us.

We know that there was an immense amount of work done in the background that we weren't even aware of. Because of Iris, we were able to put together what we feel was a world-class group of vendors! Though our ceremony was small, we felt like we were surrounded by great friends in our vendors. We couldn't have asked for a more thoughtful and experienced planner, and as SO happy that we chose Blue Lavender Events' full planning package. We would recommend Iris and her team to -anyone- in a heartbeat.

My husband and I feel very lucky to have had Blue Lavender Events for Full Planning. We cannot express the full scale of our gratitude. Our dream was to have the wedding ceremony and tented reception take place on my parents' backyard. Iris delivered a custom and unforgettable celebration. It was above and beyond anything we could dream of!

The day was complicated logistically because we had a larger guest count and we needed to import and export everything a traditional wedding venue would have. This includes three tents, tables, a kitchen, washrooms, electricity, security, backup rain plan, sound system and garbage disposal. We had four separate spaces that needed to be set up (ceremony, cocktails, dinner tent and entertainment tent). Set-up started three days before the wedding and teardown finished two days after. Iris and her amazing assistant Valary led all vendor site visits. She prepared customized floorplans, schedules, timelines, spreadsheets for electricity requirements, and other organisational activities for all vendors. She also had a comprehensive wedding folder for us, was always mindful of our budget, and spotted unnecessary costs. She went through all our vendor contracts before we signed to make sure our best interests were looked after. Iris also facilitated and sourced our more custom requests, such as a ramen bar and fresh mini-doughnut stand.

We did not hire a full-scale decorator because we found Iris understood our vision the best. She very graciously and naturally absorbed the role of our decorator in addition to being our wedding planner! She put together a gorgeous design plan for our wedding and sourced all the components we loved. She has great taste and we had a lot of fun planning while we were being shielded from the tedious logistical issues.

Most of all, Iris and Valary were always pleasant, responded quickly to emails, and had great relationships with the vendors. In a number of emails I was CCed on, the vendors thanked Iris and Valary for being such a pleasure to work with. Valary has a wonderful "can-do" attitude and is very thoughtful. Iris is so genuine, sharp and looked out for us, our guests and the vendors. On the wedding day Iris left her Blue Lavender Events mark and made sure every detail was lovingly styled. Everything was so beautiful I could not believe my eyes!

The wedding itself was perfect and guests commented on how smooth and magical the day was. Someone said she felt like she was in a movie, another in a Korean drama, and another felt like an extra on a movie set because everything was so surreal. Iris made sure that our guests' journey from beginning to end was curated. Her team was very lovely as well. I had made a few elements for the wedding and they set everything up perfectly. They also made sure that the bridal party was hydrated, fed, relaxed and updated on where we were on the timeline. I am very touched by Iris and Valary's generosity and dedication to making sure our wedding was a beautiful day. Iris has such a big heart and everyone around her can't help but feel her excitement and love for what she does. She gave us the best day of our life!

When my husband and I were planning for our wedding we got really overwhelmed. We didn't know where to begin, so we decided to hire BLE! Iris created a rustic theme for our wedding and found the perfect venue for us. She recommended reputable vendors for us to choose from and attended all the vendor meetings with us.

We hired Iris Li of Blue Lavender events for her month of coordination services – but let me tell you it’s way more than just a month that she assists you with. We had two in-person meetings (including one site visit) with her before our big day to go over logistics and anything else that was needed. Through it all, she was professional, knowledgeable and most of all helpful leading up to the big day. We knew we wanted the weeks leading up to our wedding and the day of to be stress-free – and we have Iris to thank for helping us with every single detail! Things we didn’t even think of for our day, Iris knew what was needed and got them done. She created a detailed and comprehensive timeline for both of us, the bridal party and both sets of parents. She was always on top of things – emailing us a few days before to remind us of upcoming vendor payments, a packing list of items we shouldn’t forget etc. On the day, Iris and her team were INCREDIBLE! The best wedding advice I've received and experienced firsthand myself is to hire a coordinator. Since I had visions for my wedding already, I wanted to have it all tie together at the end with month of coordination to take it off my hands. Having Blue Lavender team with me for the last month was seriously the best decision. Iris was very responsive and and took charge of all the details I had planned flawlessly from the first meeting onto the wedding day. They executed my vision better than I could have dreamed and really have a great eye, no matter the style of bride you are! Then there's the best part of letting them handle the best day ever as we enjoyed the day with each other and our guests to the fullest!
