I'm an extreme introvert and the type of person who actively avoids being in front of a camera whenever possible. Posing for photos has never felt natural to me. However, Vivian made me feel comfortable almost immediately. Her guidance was easy to follow, she kept everything fun and relaxed, and our pre-wedding session ended up being something I genuinely enjoyed rather than something I simply had to get through.

She was also incredibly flexible. We customized parts of her package to better suit our needs, including replacing a traditional engagement session with a pre-wedding shoot since we had already taken engagement photos overseas. She worked with us to create something that fit our story instead of forcing us into a preset package.

On the wedding day, everything felt like a blur. I was nervous, overwhelmed, and honestly spent most of the day looking at my groom just to stay calm. When we received our photos, I was amazed by how much Vivian had captured—so many moments, details, reactions, and perspectives that I completely missed while living through the day. Looking through the gallery felt like experiencing our wedding all over again.

I had complete confidence after our pre-wedding session that I would love the final photos, and Vivian exceeded those expectations. She has a remarkable ability to tell a story through her images and capture authentic emotions from not only the couple, but also family and friends.

When we first talked to Vivian, we could tell how passionate she is about her work and how much she cares for you. We also did two engagement shoots with her before the wedding, and throughout it was amazing how much effort she put in to give us the best possible experience and photos.

We're usually awkward in front of the camera, but Vivian was so skilled in posing us naturally and honestly it's quite a feat how good she managed to make us look! She also made the environment friendly and comfortable.

On the wedding day, she and her assistant Eunice were somehow everywhere without being obtrusive, and very detail-oriented in making sure everything and everyone looked good. They were super well-coordinated with each other and our families both commented afterwards that we had great photographers. Now that we have shared our photos, friends have reached out just to say how good they are, and how every moment was captured so beautifully.

I made a terrible mistake by thinking that I could somehow plan my wedding with minimal interference from my bridal party and my wedding planner. I was definitely in over my head and a lot of vendors and situations gave me enough stress that it probably took a few years off the end of my life. However, working with Vivian for our engagement shoots and on the day of our wedding was NEVER a source of my stress or worries. From day one, Vivian approached our wedding with such enthusiasm and passion that I had not expected from her or any other photographer. For both our engagement shoots, Vivian was professional and incredibly easy to work with. My husband and I aren't ones to typically be in front of the camera, but Vivian made it so effortless for us to push our comfort levels and capture tons of stunning photos. I remember being at the Dr. Sun Yat Sen garden for our final engagement shoot. It was a cold and rainy night and while my fiancé and I were ready to call it a day, Vivian worked tirelessly to ensure that we would be satisfied with the results of our shoot that day. Needless to say, the photos from that day exceeded my expectations and we are so grateful to have found a photographer who was so genuinely kind, detailed, professional, and enthusiastic as Vivian.

I spent months (literally) finding the perfect photographer for our wedding. Finally after searching through about 50 different local photographers I came across Vivian’s Instagram page. She was very responsive and seemed genuine! We booked her for our engagement session and wedding day. My husband and I are quite shy but Vivian made us feel super comfortable and our engagement session went by so quickly. When we received the photos, we were blown away! Vivian really took the time to perfect the angle and lighting of each photo and the end results were amazing. During the whole wedding planning process, Vivian was extremely helpful by reviewing our schedule, giving pointers and tips such as buffer times and reminders for alternative plans (i.e. a second shooting location). She ensured she understood what our plan and vision was for the wedding and worked hard by taking various notes. As the wedding came closer, she followed up and provided prop suggestions for detail shots and got us to be very creative!

When the COVID restrictions tightened in December and we had to change the date, she wasn’t just a photographer but a friend who listened to our worries. She worked quickly with us to reschedule and was always super responsive when we had questions.

Vivian also has exceptional attention to detail and is SUPER creative. During the chaos of the day, it’s as if she had a mental checklist of shots with particular family members because if some were missed, she would request it right away. With regards to creativity, Vivian never fails to impress as she’s able to just think of a pose or use of a random item around you to use in the shot.

We were able to enjoy our day pretty stress free because Vivian was one of our vendors and we cannot thank her enough for all that she’s contributed and all that she’d done for us during these uncertain times. It is truly a blessing that we found her and got to work with her to create this magical day that will be remembered forever.
