Vaughn was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had him join us for our small ceremony last year and then again for our wedding “version 2.0” this year. He made us feel comfortable and at ease. Getting our photos was one of our favourite moments during our wedding as it gave us some time to enjoy one another’s company and snuggle up to one another while Vaughn took photos and made us smile. The booking and payment process was also very smooth. He also helped to keep us organized with a family photo list and communicated well before, during, and after the event. We had sneak peak photos back within a day both years and the rest of our photos shortly there after! Can’t recommend Vaughn to future couples enough!

Choosing a photographer was a big deal to us as we wanted photos that we would love to look at for years to come, while also knowing that we had someone who would help to keep our day running smoothly. After our initial interview with Vaughn it was clear to us that he was the choice for us! We had so much fun with him doing our engagement shoot, and absolutely loved the photos, it made us so excited to see what photos we would get on our wedding day!
Leading up to the wedding he was great at commuting with us and helping to get our timeline right. When our day came no photo opportunities went to plan due to rain, thunderstorms and tornado warnings! Our ceremony plans had to change and so did our photo list we gave him. Vaughn was amazing at still trying to get all the shots we wanted, and managed to get our big group photo as well as family photos during breaks in the rain. He got creative with our wedding party photos and had us take over the bar! We now have some really fun photos with our friends that we wouldn't have thought of! Vaughn did everything to make sure he captured those moments we wanted so much, and ended our time with him doing outside shots in the rain where he captured one of our favourite photos of us walking in the rain.

Vaughn worked so well with the whole team around us on the day, and his great sense of humour kept us going during photos throughout the day! He had way too much fun joking around with our British groomsmen!

We couldn't believe how quickly he got our photos back to us, and how amazing they all turned out. We decided to choose the package with the album included and making this online and approving it was so easy. As we live in the UK he was so helpful with making sure our album made it to us safely which we really appreciated! We are still in awe of how beautiful the album is and look forward to using it for years to come! Thank you so much for being part of our wedding day, and for capturing all our special moments throughout the day. We will cherish these forever.

The day of our wedding he was so great with making everything so comfortable and easy. Vaughn and his assistant caught every important moment that we wanted to catch, and even more! We received all of our digital downloads super quick, which is unheard of! Vaughn puts all of himself into his work and it really shows, every photo is a work of art. He is a wiz when it comes to figuring out timelines and has outlines and list templates already put together to help you make your shoots go smoother! Minimal effort for maximum photo quality! He's a legend and was one of the best financial investments we made for our wedding. No regrets.

Vaughn was patient, flexible, and very adaptable to our changing schedule. He communicated professionally, and offered valuable advice for everything on our wedding day, including a beautiful way to hold our first dance. He even convinced us not to go with the more expensive photography package based on our needs, rather than trying to upsell us. He gave us a sneak peek of our photos the very next day, and had our full list of photos ready within a week.

While taking our photos, he made us feel very comfortable and avoided the dreaded over-posed shots. He was very quick at assessing changing weather and moving us to the optimal spots at the venue to capture some truly stunning photos.

Having spoken and worked with a number of other wedding photographers, I cannot recommend Vaughn enough. He is the clear choice for us in every way.

Vaughn couldn't have captured our big day at the family cottage in Muskoka more beautifully. He scouted the site ahead of time, identified key photos he and the bride thought would pan out best and took time to understand the parts of our site/location that were important to us. When the weather threw us a curveball, he embraced the weather, adapted to the circumstances and went above and beyond to ensure all of our desired moments were not only captured but enhanced by mother nature. In hindsight, anyone getting photos done by Vaughn should hope for rain because he used it to our advantage and gave the bride the "Notebook-like wedding" she could never have dreamed of. We cannot say enough great things about Vaughn. From our initial conversation to receiving our photos Vaughn was a pleasure to work with. Vaughn Barry was the best investment we made on our wedding day! When we got engaged we knew finding a high quality, talented photographer would be a top priority.
