Tulle & Tweed Photography is based in Victoria, BC and serves Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and destinations worldwide. Her style is a mix of documentary photography (candid moments) and lifestyle photography (lightly curated posing), resulting in natural and fun photos. With 300+ weddings under her belt, her experience speaks for itself. She loves whimsy and adventure, and will jump at the chance to photograph in a new location or a new city.
Experience
Heather is an east-coaster-become-west-coaster, originally from St. John’s, NL. She attended the University of Victoria and received a BFA in Visual Arts (Photography & Painting). She has been photographing professionally since 2011 and has travelled to 16 countries. She loves coffee, lemon meringue pie, and photography.

Lifestyle wedding photography is Heather’s specialty, with a dose of adventure and exploration mixed in. She approaches every wedding day as a new unique experience and aims to capture your unique personalities in her photographs. Partial day, elopement, full day and destination packages are available. West cost elopement
Where do I start! A picture is worth a thousand words, Heather’s photos say more. She captured beautiful real photos of our Hindu inspired ceremony and elopement, we had a hard time picking a favourite. She didn’t make us feel conscious that we were being photographed throughout the ceremony, it felt natural. Heather made our dream elopement come true by also suggesting the right celebrant for our day. She has so much experience and knowledge, she was a great resource to have on our side. When we got our photos, our families said that they felt that they were actually there with us on the day and they could experience the joy and the love just by looking at all the photos, that’s how beautifully she had captured the emotions and the ceremony. Also she was a great company to hike with, that’s an added bonus. If you are planning a Wild West coast wedding, Heather is your person!

Absolutely wonderful experience!
Heather became my literal hero during my planning of a last-minute elopement. Not only is she an amazingly talented photographer, but she went above and beyond even before our special day to ensure all the last minute details were worked out. She had awesome vendor recommendations and seemed as if she had done this hundreds of times. If you're looking for someone who is thoughtful, calm, and humble... Heather is your girl! On our wedding day, she was a helping hand to my fiancé, encouraged us to reflect during our photos, and laughed along with us as if she had known us for years. We just received our "sneak peeks" from our elopement and we couldn't be more pleased. Her editing is just what my fiancé and I were hoping to find! She let us be ourselves but also gently guided and directed us for more natural poses. We are so grateful for Heather and the moments she captured. If we ever need a photographer in the future, Heather would be our first pick!

The Very Best!
We had a positive experience with Tulle & Tweed from the first email, to the delivery of our photographs. Start to finish, working with Heather was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We started planning our wedding somewhat late, and we chose to get married mid-week because we wanted to make sure we could choose Tulle & Tweed for our photography. Heather is so talented, and really made us feel at ease on our wedding day. Tulle & Tweed was our first choice from the beginning, and we are so happy that we got the opportunity to have them be such a big part of our big day. Heather's recommendations and advice for different photography locations were also much appreciated. Heather was always quick to respond to any questions that we had. From beginning to end, we were so happy with the experience of working with Tulle & Tweed. And of course our photos are gorgeous!

Absolutely Amazing!
I think choosing Tulle and Tweed to do our wedding photography was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. From the first meeting onwards she knew what to ask and do and it just felt so effortless and fun. My husband was a bit resistant to some of the more cheesy and romantic poses and Heather was so accommodating and patient and made even the awkward moments feel fun.
I also personally got along super well with Heather - she and I got to gush about books and cats and that was honestly so great!
My guests also commented on how they hardly even noticed when the photographers were around. I've been to some weddings where you see nothing because the photographers are in the way, and I'm so happy that people didn't have that experience.
I think the photos say it all - we had a great time, and Heather and Ebony were a part of bringing that all together. Plus the quality of the work that they do is just out of this world. I am so excited to keep looking at these photos for years to come.

Talented, Professional, Passionate. Worth every penny.
Heather and her team at Tulle and Tweed Photography are fabulous artists. The quality of the images speaks for itself.
Not only is Heather extremely talented, but she is also a delight to work with. She was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. I hired her to photograph my wedding in the Shaw Salish Discovery Center, which I knew would present some challenges (low lighting, flash photography not permitted). Heather was just as excited about the venue as I was and she went above and beyond to prepare for and capture my wedding. She and Brodie were really fun to work with on the day-of. I was extremely happy with the quality of the photographs (as well as a remarkably quick turnaround, that I know she worked very hard to achieve). I can’t say enough nice things about Heather and I highly recommend Tulle and Tweed Photography.
