Rob Whelan is a Kingston, Ontario-based wedding photographer. Rob started his business in 2010 and seeks to capture the natural smiles, hearty laughs, happy tears, and the genuine moments of your wedding day. As a kid, Rob was fixated with art and wanted to pursue a career in graphic design, but eventually studied kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. However, he never completely gave up on design and continued to paint and airbrush. He also invested time in learning editing software like Photoshop, which further fueled his interest in photography. With his organic approach, Rob ensures that he preserves your wedding’s beautiful moments in an unforced and unprompted state. Knowledgeable in photojournalism and portraiture styles of photography, Rob believes in careful planning and preparedness so that you don’t have to worry about anything on your wedding and can just enjoy you being among friends and family.

Services offered

The studio offers high-resolution images and engagement shoots. Rob prefers shooting one event per day so that your wedding receives the desired attention and coverage you require. He is also open to working for additional hours if needed. The following are also available: -

Prints Rob photographs about 20 wedding commissions per year and works from his home studio, but mostly shoots on location. The business also offers maternity shoots.
