We hired Purple Tree Photography to do our engagement session and wedding day and I could honestly say they were the best investment we made for the wedding.

From the moment we reached out to them, they were so warm and friendly and provided us lots of sample photos and answered all our questions promptly. Since they are big in the GTA, they've shot just about everywhere and had lots of portfolios to show how they've captured each location.

We worked with Lelania for the engagement session and wedding day and we had Ira as our second photographer on the wedding day and both girls were just amazing. So friendly and they made us feel so comfortable with getting our photo taken for essentially 10 straight hours. They captured all the important moments and were so patient with all our friends and family. We got about 40 pictures back as the "wedding teasers" and each and every one was beautiful and you can tell they worked hard to get the perfect angle, expression, moment, etc. I don't know what their editing team uses, but the photos looked straight out of a wedding magazine.

I can't recommend them enough and would say if you're getting married (even outside of the GTA), hire Purple Tree! You won't regret it!

So so so so so HAPPY we chose Purple Tree Photography for our wedding! The photos we received so far are incredible. Literally looks like out of a magazine! We had Lelania as our lead photographer and Lisa as our second photographer. They gave us a lot of directions during our shoot. They made us very comfortable in front of the camera.

Purpletree is a big name in the wedding industry and we are very happy that they lived up to our expectations and exceeded them based on their expertise and professionalism! Derrick was amazing to work with and his ability to turn a casual photoshoot into jaw dropping shots was amazing!! We had a great consult with Sasha and we were made aware of all of our options. We felt so comfortable with Derrick during the engagement shoot that the wedding felt so natural and easy going for us! We are so pleased with our pictures and the price point is worth it considering these pictures are what will allow us to remember the wedding years later! Purple Tree Photography is a very high-end wedding vendor, with out of this world quality of work that is equal in all of their shooters. Our final wedding photos were edited to look as though they belonged in a magazine, so stunning, so beautiful. Everyone is obsessed with high-quality they all are! Definitely worth the price for these stunning final photos.

HOWEVER, my lead photographer was disappointing to me. We had several meetings prior to the wedding day, where at each one I explained the same wishes and wants and absolute must haves, each meeting I said the exact same list of things, she even wrote them down at one meeting, BUT my wishes were not communicated to the 2nd shooter, and I did not receive those must have photos that I wanted so dearly, which to this day (almost a year later) still make me so upset. After each meeting with my lead I left bothered, we did not have a great connection, but I was hoping that on the day of the wedding it would be different, NOPE, looks like I got her on a bad day, maybe she wasn't excited for the 13 hours ahead, maybe she just didn't vibe well with me and didn't like my personality, who knows, I never will, but she was not a happy camper, she looked as though she didn't want to be there. Even my bridesmaids and my mom kept asking me if she was always like that, why does she seem so miserable, I never knew, and I still don't know the answer.

I didn't get my photos with both of our parents, which she always assured me was a basic shot they ALWAYS did, guess not, I had a double sided cake which I got plenty of photos of one side, but the other side was forgotten about, got a photo of the BACK of my cake topper, not sure how much sense that makes but I got it, didn't get a photo with our ring boys, had to rush at the end of the night before she was leaving to get a photo of me with each of them while they were in their PJS, but I only ended up getting a photo of one kid in my final product. Even at my first consultation and every meeting after that and in my e-mails, I always made sure to mention I do NOT like black and white photos and if it is absolutely necessary to have a photo be black and white if I could have a colour copy of it as well as 9 out of 10 times I will prefer the colour option, it's not something that came out of the blue, an entire year I had mentioned the same thing about black and white photos and mentioned the same shots, but that didn't happen and I had to make a request after the fact to have my colour copies of my black and white photos cause about 97% of all the black and photos I received I didn't like, and our lead also gave up on us post wedding, and our 2nd shooter met with us to discuss the wedding album, met with us to retake the missed shot that she could retake, and communicated with us the entire time post wedding, I feel this is the job of our lead shooter, but like I said, I don't think she liked me so she finished our wedding and said SEE YOU. I really do wish I made a complaint in the beginning about her and how we didn't vibe well and that she always left a bitter taste in my mouth after communicating with her, but I didn't and now I'm missing extremely important photos to me that I will never ever get back because I didn't stand up in the beginning to complain and because I was hopeful things would be different when it came to the actual wedding day. I tried to be positive polly and it blew up in my face.

In the end, the photos are beautiful, magazine quality in their editing so yes I would HIGHLY recommend Purple Tree but I do NOT recommend our lead, and I do suggest that if you get picked with someone you DO NOT like with then you should step up, because it will not magically change on your wedding day, you will still not vibe with them then and you will miss out on important photos because they won't listen, or just don't care to listen, and you'll have members of your bridal party asking you why she looks so miserable and ask you what you did to piss her off.

But the company as a whole is fantastic, the photos are out of this world, they are all high quality so you can blow them up as big as you like! And in a photo album? they are so dreamy. I have so many incredible shots of my husband and I that I have displayed all over our house.

One bad apple doesn't ruin the greatness of a company!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Purple Tree Photography for our wedding this past summer (August 2017). From our very first meeting with Svetlana and Sasha, to our communication leading up to the big day, and then the wedding day itself they were AMAZING!!! These guys work SO hard to get perfect images of your special day. They were full of great ideas about where to shoot and were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. Our families and bridal party absolutely loved working with them as well, as they can take any one and make them feel totally comfortable in front of the camera. They are involved but not intrusive. Friendly but super genuine. We could not have been happier with our choice. Our photos are so precious to us and they came out exactly as we wanted. We are still receiving endless compliments on how beautiful all the photos were but also on how great the photographers were on the day of. So professional! At one point while we were taking family photos I began to worry that it was going to rain and they were so amazing and calming me down and assuming me that they had already been checking the weather hourly and that everything was going to be ok :) This is something that really stood out to me. Not only are the images stunning but within days after the wedding they sent us over 60 photos to see right away. We can't thank Sasha and Svetlana enough for being a part of our wedding and we HIGHLY recommend Purple Tree to everyone we know and love

I cannot express how much we loved working with Purple Tree and our photographers Carly and Derek. Both were very professional, energetic and easy going, putting us and our guests at ease in front of the camera. Everyone I worked with at Purple Tree leading up to our wedding was amazing. They responded to my many emails and questions promptly and clearly. Considering I was planning our wedding from a different Province, everything was very stress free and came together perfectly! Their pricing is also amazing, we got a great package at an outstanding price. The quality of their photos are out of this world too. I have only received some 'teasers' so far and we, along with our families and friends, are blown away by how beautiful they look. My sister-in-law is already planning to book with Purple Tree when the time comes.
Our photographers were so great during the wedding and from just the teasers alone, they captured some really beautiful moments and we cannot wait to see the rest! They truly have an eye for wedding photography and taking photos that were very natural looking, very much us. They gave us great direction when we needed and it was all very comfortable.

The most beautiful pictures - I couldn't have imagined it better! Calvin and Shahin were fun to be around, calmed my nerves and blended into the party like they were a part of the gang! They made this nervous awkward bride look comfortable and beautiful in all the pictures! Not only was the process seamless as the days led up to the wedding (timely responses no matter how many they were, meetings when needed etc) but captured every moment of the wedding perfectly so that I would remember everything forever.

And then came the pictures - WOW. Even the box that the USB and prints came in were so elegant. From start to finish they amazed me and everyone at the wedding were in awe of all the pictures taken.

Worth every penny.

We had our eye on Purple Tree Wedding Photography as our wedding photographers from the beginning. They were worth every single penny and more. They by far exceeded our expectation in the quality of photos and how well they were able to capture the essence of our day. We had Derek and Nadia as our photographers and they were both so friendly, professional, and easy to work with that it honestly felt like we had our old friends with us. It was such a pleasure having them a part of our big day. Purple Tree's staff is very quick to respond and I also loved how easy their packages are to customize!
