Laura's light and bright photos and overall vibe spoke to me when we first started our photographer hunt but then I met her in person and that truly sealed the deal! When I thought of our wedding day, I knew I would have all of my favourite people by my side but why should your vendors be any less amazing? They shouldn't be, don't settle for less! Laura is insanely creative and hilarious, not your black wearing, silent photographer type. Phew!
Our engagement photos were more than I could have hoped for! Laura provided expert advice on what to wear and the various location options to achieve my vision (although as I learned locations are not important as she can shoot anywhere). The best part we laughed the whole time and before we knew it we were admiring our stunning fall photos. We are not models and wow they could fool anyone!
With our wedding day quickly approaching I can honestly say I can't wait to marry the man of my dreams but also kick it with the coolest photographer in town!Laura Kelly Photography's reply:

Hands down, the absolute best decision we made was to hire Laura for our wedding photography!
Not only is Laura professional, but she makes you feel like a friend, and in turn, makes you so comfortable in front of the camera.

Everything We Could’ve Asked For!
Where do I even start- Laura is everything we ever wanted in a wedding photographer and so much more. From the moment we met her at her house (with a customized welcome sign on the porch!) we knew we were in good hands. She is the perfect balance between being fun and professional. She made us feel confident that we were in good hands. One thing Laura did differently than other photographers was insist on an engagement session (included in the wedding photo price). While I initially thought it was just one more thing to do, Laura was completely right. The engagement session went so well- we didn’t have to think of any poses or come up with anything cliche. Laura took photos of us in our neighborhood that were lighthearted, romantic and reflected who we were as a couple. She had photos edited and sent to us right away. They were so beautiful that my very stubborn I-don’t-like-having-my-picture-taken fiancé is actually EXCITED to see the wedding photos! If you knew him you’d understand how great of an accomplishment that is. The engagement session helped us feel comfortable with her and confident in how the photos would turn out. Laura has also helped us find an incredible florist, an awesome DJ and a wonderful wedding planner. She’s been worth every singe penny and I cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding in a few weeks. I have no doubt the process will be seamless and the photos will be beautiful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to all my friends!!Laura Kelly Photography's reply:

Things I look forward to most on my wedding day 1) Seeing my groom for the first time; 2) Uniting our friends & family from one end of the country to the other while of course lighting up the d-floor; and 3) Knowing that I am in the BEST hands when it comes to having the most well-rounded, passionate & vivacious photographer in the Ottawa area. During our engagement shoot, Laura made my fiancé and I feel like we were 'heaven to shoot'. She has gone completely above & beyond throughout this entire process (i.e. suggesting local amazing vendors, helping to pick out our outfits for our engagement photos, being available for any/all inquiries, etc.). She is personable, hilarious, extremely detail-oriented & EXUDES love for her craft-- We are SO lucky (& happy) that she is our photographer! -

From the moment I got engaged I knew I wanted to be a Laura Kelly Bride! I thought I knew what I was in for but was I ever wrong! It was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of or imagined! Laura made everything so special and caught every moment and memory that we hoped for! You can really see her love and passion for photography through the effort and time she spends with her couples! I am so happy that my husband and I will forever have our beautiful wedding photos to look back on and think of how amazing Laura was and is! -

I first met Laura when she photographed my friend’s wedding. From the moment I met her and saw her work, I knew I had to have her for my own wedding! Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working with her multiple times (for two mini sessions, our engagement photos and our wedding).
Laura is worth every penny of her fees – and more. She’s incredibly talented and has a way of instantly putting you at ease in front of the camera. She’ll keep you laughing so that it’s a fun experience yet she’ll provide you with exactly the direction you need to capture gorgeous images. She’s also super responsive (I’ve always received photos from her at lightning speed) and was really helpful throughout the wedding planning process.

Look no further!
To say that photography was an important part of our wedding would be an understatement (we booked it immediately after securing a date/venue!). After we met with Laura, we knew we had found our photographer. Not only was she extremely personable and easy to talk to when we first met, her pictures spoke for themselves. Laura absolutely has a creative gift that she can capture any given moment and make it look beautiful and special.
Anyone who has planned a large event, like a wedding, knows how much time, effort, and sometimes stress comes with it. I can confidently say that once we had officially booked Laura as our photographer, I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that we would be in good hands. Laura is confident in her artistry which makes you feel at ease - she knows exactly what she wants you to do for each shot and will guide you every step of the way.
Not only is Laura’s photography amazing, but her turnaround rate is unreal. We had a handful of “sneak peek” photos immediately following the wedding and then were pleasantly surprised with our full gallery less than two weeks later!
We couldn’t have been happier with Laura as our photographer and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful photos to capture a special moment in their lives. -
