  More than just a photographer...hire her now

  We were incredibly lucky to find Jennifer, and the work she produced for us exceeded all our expectations. That our wedding was in a relatively remote location (Pender Island, BC) did not phase her in the slightest, as she was already familiar with it. The fact that we chose less-than-traditional venues for our ceremony and reception also gave her no pause. We were thrilled to see how she captured our ceremony, perched precariously on a prominent rock overlooking the sea.
  Her talent and professionalism are beyond reproach, but an unexpected bonus we had not anticipated when we hired her was the calming influence and humor she brought to the day. Both my wife Katherine and I were full of nerves and, frankly, completely exhausted from working to assemble our very-DIY wedding. Jennifer got to know us, made us laugh, all while taking amazing photographs. Book her immediately. Other photographers will charge far more for far less.

  A beautiful partnership

  Working with Jennifer was such a meaningful experience for my partner and I. We took a leap of faith and chose her as our wedding photographer over the handful of referrals from friends. Her portfolio and ability to capture moments in such a whimsical and candid way really spoke to us.
  
  The first time we met her was during our engagement shoot when we asked her to spend 5 hours with us in a car travelling to the spot where we got engaged just so we could recreate the experience. It was a big ask and she didn't hesitate for a moment to jump onboard with our vision. The pictures were absolutely stunning.
  
  She had a wealth of knowledge to share every step of the way and truly became a partner for us during the wedding planning process, sharing ideas and keeping us organized leading up to the big day. Her talent and professionalism aside, Jennifer is someone you could spend hours talking to. She's genuine, easy-going and really cares to get to know you.
  
  We received our wedding photos a couple of weeks ago and every single shot is beautifully captured and so special. Everyone we have shared them with has been blown away. Our leap of faith led to a beautiful partnership with Jennifer that we will treasure forever.

  From the moment I met Jennifer I knew we'd found our wedding photographer. She's just such a joy to work with, has so many great ideas, and most importantly she takes such amazing pictures as I'd seen when I looked on her Website.
  
  I hate having my picture taken, and I'm my own worst critic when I look at photos of myself, however, Jennifer achieved the impossible in making me love our pictures and the candid shots especially were such a perfect representation of our three events. Yes we used Jennifer for all three and we had so many positive comments from our friends and family and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who is passionate, interactive, patient and totally in control of the situation when everyone else around her is not. Trust me you won't regret it.

  Working with Jen was an absolute pleasure. We had 3 different events (city hall wedding, small ceremony with family and a large cocktail party. Jen captured the sprit and vibe of each event perfectly. We wanted a photojournalistic feel and looking through the proofs really tells the story of each separate occasion. Jen is so easy going and made everyone very comfortable in front of the camera....she somehow managed to be everywhere and capture so many meaningful moments. She knew exactly what we wanted and hoped for and used her extensive experience to really capture beautiful shots. I can not say enough good things about working with Jen and I'm so thrilled that I have such beautiful memories of the happiest time of my life.

  Jennifer photographed our Toronto Hunt Club wedding this summer, and my husband and I both agree that other than marrying each other, she was the best choice we made that day. From our initial consultation to the end of the wedding night she was professional, easy-going, and always willing to go the extra mile by recommending vendors or meeting with us to go over the wedding day schedule. She truly was a dream to work with and her pictures have exceeded all of our expectations. We had a huge bridal party (22 people) and a large family, and she was able to politely and efficiently organize everyone for photos. Everyone we have shown our photos too has been absolutely blown away, and everyone in our bridal party and family commented after the day how lovely and professional she was. We could not imagine anyone more perfect to have captured our wedding day!

  We had Jennifer for our June wedding at Canoe Restaurant. Of all our vendors Jennifer was by far my favourite to work with! She brought a wonderful positive energy to the wedding planning process! Jennifer was so organized and provided tons of feedback on wedding day logistics leading up to the wedding that helped put our minds at ease and made the day run as smoothly as possible.
  
  On our wedding day, Jennifer and her assistant blended in perfectly with all of the preparations and wackiness that come with a wedding. Many of our friends and family have mentioned how wonderful our photographers were.
  
  Not to mention that Jennifer takes amazing photos! She beautifully captured all of the big moments and little details that made the day special.

  Jen captured our intimate lakeside wedding on shawnigan lake just north of Victoria, B.C and the pictures are stunning. Jen was so fun to work with, very organized and made everything perfect the day of for us.
  
  Jen has such a creative eye and had such great ideas which made for some very unique and beautiful photos.
  
  I cannot recommend Jen Ballard enough, what a great photograph!!

  Jennifer photographed my mountain-themed destination wedding this July, and we could not possibly be any happier with our photos! I am still in awe at how well she captured the day's moments, both big and small. She helped us put together an intimate and meaningful first look and those are some of our favorite pictures from the whole day. She was very intuitive and made us feel relaxed, even when we were trekking around the mountain before the wedding, determined to get the best shots! She was both professional and friendly, which helped the day run smoothly but also helped everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera! I would recommend Jennifer in a heartbeat.

Jen was so lovely to have taking photos over the course of our wedding day: professional, focused, fun (a truly nice person), calm, and organised. The photos themselves have absolutely blown us away - far more than we could ever have expected. We've had a lot of joy looking through all of the pictures of the day, and absolutely treasure them. She captured such a wide range of moments - we were very impressed that she clearly thought ahead so well over the course of the day to make sure she was always in the right spot to the get the shot!

She was also able to capture some really candid and perfectly timed moments during the wedding. The turn around time for the photos was less than a month for both the engagement shoot and wedding, which was amazing. We are beyond happy with our photos and definitely recommend Jen as she is very friendly, responsive, professional, and of course an excellent photographer!
