As soon as I saw Jen Colborne's website for Jen Shoots Weddings, I knew I had found the right photographer. I liked her style, and told her that in the e-mail I immediately sent! Jen was responsive, funny, excited, and so, so wonderful to work with. I'm not a fussy bride and I didn't need a lot of "staring off into the distance" type shots. She got that and I could tell from her beautiful portfolio that she was going to give my husband and me exactly what we were looking for. Her prices were more than reasonable for what you get and we were so thrilled she was available for our wedding! Working with Jen on the day of the wedding was awesome. She was efficient and friendly with our guests and totally open to new photos that we decided we wanted on the spot. The teaser photo (that she posted SO fast!) was beautiful and I'm eagerly awaiting the rest of the photos. I would highly recommend Jen to anyone who wants to capture the love, fun, beauty and awesome-ness of your wedding day!

Jennifer Colborne, from Jen Shoots Weddings, was such an amazing person to work with. She was so down to earth and genuinely caring throughout our entire wedding process right from our initial contact with her, to our wedding day and right up until today as we are staying in contact through the process of her putting our weddings pics together. She was very prompt in answering any emails or phone calls we made to her. She met with us without hesitation during our planning process to go over anything we needed to talk about, and even made the trek a few hours from where she's based to scope out picture locations a week before our wedding. She had a great sense of humor, and an amazing calming effect on my husband and I every time we spoke to her, and especially on the day of our wedding. Her and her assistant, Eve, rallied up everyone to capture some great pictures for us, and were so much fun to work with. They kept us all laughing and smiling the entire time. After our wedding, my parents and a few of my bridesmaids told me how great of a photographer she was and how comfortable they felt working with her, which was one of the most important things my husband and I were looking for when choosing a photographer. Jen Shoots Wedding's rates are very reasonable, and unlike many other photographer's we looked into, except for a few areas, Jen does not charge extra for travel which we realized is almost impossible to find. She was so quick in putting up a "teaser" pic from our wedding on her blog, and it was so pretty! We're so excited to see the rest of them. Jen and her assistant Eve were a perfect fit for our wedding. We preferred someone who would capture our day as opposed to directing it and they did this perfectly. They were very easy to work with, flexible and accommodating with all of our requests. Jen had some great ideas for unique photo opportunities and they turned out great! What we really liked about them was that they were able to capture our special day without interfering in any way. We highly recommend Jen Shoots Weddings to anyone!

Jen was a breath of fresh air from the moment we met her. Her artistic portfolio is what captivated us. My husband is a senior graphic designer and has worked for many top ad agency's in Toronto and is very picky when it comes to photography but Jen's work blew him away. We also liked the fact that we received all of our digital photos whereas some other photographers we were checking out didn't offer that and you had to pay through the nose for your own photos. On the day of she guided us effortlessly through the shots she wanted. She is great at seeing the potential in a space because we were in a field of flowering weeds however the shots looked amazing!! She has an eye for the bigger picture, something I could not envision when we were on site.

Jen's personality is what makes her stand out. She's outgoing and just lovely to work with. I always recommend her for weddings.
