Based in Langley, British Columbia, Dragonflight Photography has been documenting weddings for more than 17 years. Led by Ashley, the studio is known for imagery that blends candid storytelling with refined, dramatic portraiture, photographs that feel natural in the moment and beautiful for years to come.

Ashley began her career in Victoria, assisting an established wedding photographer for more than three years and photographing weddings long before launching Dragonflight Photography. She later studied graphic design at the Art Institute of Vancouver and attended Emily Carr University, developing a strong foundation in composition, design, colour, and visual storytelling.

Her approach to a wedding day is intuitive and unobtrusive. Much of the day is documented as it naturally unfolds — the fleeting expressions, unexpected interactions, movement, laughter, and quiet moments in between. When direction is needed, particularly for portraits, Ashley brings an editorial eye and an experienced approach to posing that still allows couples to look and feel like themselves.

Dragonflight Photography's work has been published and featured by Style Me Pretty, WedLuxe, The Vancouver Sun, Pretty Little Weddings, Le Magnifique, and other wedding publications.

The studio has also received recognition from the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada (PWPC), WeddingWire Couples' Choice Awards and Bride's Choice Awards, and has previously been a preferred professional for The Fairmont Empress and a Little Black Book member with Style Me Pretty.

Ashley has photographed weddings throughout British Columbia as well as destination celebrations in Hawaii, Portugal, Mexico, and Cuba. From intimate ceremonies with only a handful of guests to elaborate full-day celebrations, the focus remains the same: creating a thoughtful, honest record of what the day actually felt like.
