Choi's Photography and Videography is a wedding business based in Nova Scotia. Owner Choonghyun Choi worked throughout Canada and US over the last 10 years. He specializes in capturing authentic. natural, artistic, trendy and romatic imagery. His work has awarded and appeared in publications like Edmonton City and All TV Broadcast.

Why do you choose Choi's Photography and Videography?

Firstly, you can choose the 'color tone' that you prefer the most. Wedding photos are not for my portfolio; they are exclusively for you! Among several tones with different vibes, you can choose the one that best reflects the atmosphere you have always dreamed of. That's why my instagram, unlike many photographers, is not composed of photos with just 'one tone'.

Secondly, I approach not just through photos but with my true personality. Building one more business relationship is not my goal; rather, it's like an old friend assisting your wedding (who happens to know how to professionally capture moments). I will gauge the client's mood and prioritize your comfort. I ensure that I don't make you uncomfortable or tired during your wedding just co capture the photos I DESIRE. If you read the reviews from the previous clients, you'll clearly feel the genuine and polite approach and care I have for my clients.

Thirdly, I strictly adhere to photographing only one wedding per day. No matter how small the wedding is, I don't engage in overlapping contracts nor send a second shooter without me. This is because I consider it a matter of BASIC RESPECT and commitment. That day is not only precious for you but also for me, as it is a day where I might capture some of the most beautiful and authentic moments.

Lastly, the camera equipment I use is literally top-of-line among the gears currently available in the market. While the prices and level of a camera don't directly translate of a photo, they at least demonstrate how passionate I am bout my art. I don't pursue this as hobby; it's a serious commitment for me.

A skilled photographer and wonderful person

Choonghyun was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is an incredibly skilled photographer, managed to make my camera-shy self and my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera, and is an absolutely wonderful person.

The photos that Choonghyun captured of our wedding are beautiful, and will be cherished forever: I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. He really is the best!

Best in his craft!

Choi is the best photographer we’ve ever met. He’s incredibly passionate about his work, so warm and kind, and puts so much effort into every moment. He moved silently and swiftly throughout our wedding, capturing everything beautifully without ever interrupting the flow. All our guests kept telling us how amazing he was. Highly recommend!

Forever Grateful for Our Incredible Photographer

We truly could not have asked for a better photographer! From the moment he arrived, he brought such amazing energy and joy to our day. Many of our guests still talk about how fun it was to watch him work and how much he clearly loves what he does.

He’s a one-man show, but you would never know it by how much he managed to capture. Every detail, every laugh, every emotional moment, it’s all there! He is quick to respond to any messages and was swift in getting our photos back to us.

Our wedding

We’re so glad we chose Choi as our wedding photographer and videographer. From start to finish, he was professional, creative, and easy to work with. He took the time to understand our vision and cultural aspects of our special day. He made the day filled with laughter and fun times as we shot through out the whole day.

Amazing Photographer!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Choi Photography for our wedding! This is actually the second time Choi has photographed a wedding in our family, we enjoyed the photos from my husband's sister so much, we hired him again!

From the very beginning, he was professional and easy to communicate with. On the big day, he managed to perfectly capture the emotion, joy, and beauty of the day. The candid moments, the lighting, the compositions—everything was just spot on. His style has a light airy feel. Looking through the gallery felt like reliving the day all over again.

Beautiful Pictures on our special day

We loved working with Choonghyun. He was very patient and kind and easy to work with. Remembered every little detail about what we liked and how we wanted our photos. He took incredible shoots and the pictures are stunning. Im still gushing after them weeks later. I absolutely love how they all came out. He is also good at guiding you on what to do and how to get the best shots. Both engagement and wedding photos were very beautiful and he captured the essence of who we are as a couple. I'm so glad we picked him to shoot our special day and would love to use him again. This was our first time taking professional photos and we were pretty awkward in from of a camera but he made sure we were comfortable and there was alot of laughter. We got all our pictures in weeks, way before they were supposed to be ready. You get the sense that he cares about what he is doing and enjoys photography. If youre on the fence, give him a try. You will not be disappointed. He was always early to appointments and we left having enjoyed our time with him. And one thing we really appreciated was that we were behind time the entire day of the wedding but he stayed and took some more pictures for us even when our time was up.
In as much as we love the pictures he took, having some one who shows care and is kind, professional and patient made our day even more special. Thank you Choonghyun.

Excellent Photos and Experince!

I asked for photos of me and my dog from a photographer who usually does couples shoots, and he delivered amazing results! He stepped out of his comfort zone to capture me with my giant dog, and the photos turned out excellent. The quality was top-notch, and the service was professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended!

Choi truly exceeded our expectations! From our stunning winter engagement shoot to the chaos of our wedding day, he captured every moment so beautifully. His eye for detail and ability to find the perfect shot, no matter the setting, blew us away.
