Jessy and Brandon are the dream team! They shot both our engagement shoot and our wedding day! We aren't typically ones to feel comfortable in front of a camera but they made us feel so at ease and managed to capture the details and feelings from our wedding day so beautifully. They blended so seamlessly into the day and were everywhere capturing it as it unfolded making it easy for us to be in the moment and not be worried about being "in front of a camera". There is no way to be everywhere all at once on your own wedding day, and you miss a lot, but when we got our sneak peek gallery back we got to experience the day more fully than we did the first time and we saw so many details that we never noticed in the moment. Their artistic vision is stunning and the way they see and capture love is absolutely magical. My husband and I just got our photos back from Jessy and Brandon. We are absolutely in LOVE with every single shot. Jessy and Brandon are excellent at what they do. My wife, Cara and I happened across Jessy's work when we were looking at wedding photos of our venue on google. Our venue was obviously beautiful, or we wouldn't have picked it, but the way that Jessy was able to capture the ambiance made her photography stand out from literally all the other talented wedding photographers who had shot that venue. Her unmistakeable style was borne out in the rest of what we saw on her website and we reached out to her.

Jessy's style has some key priorities. First, she aims to capture the real emotion of the day. She does this using dramatic lighting and colours that form the tonal undercurrent of the majority of her work, and lend it endless authenticity. The other way she does this is by capturing the small moments and candid interactions that fill out the photographic memory of the day. This priority, of course, doesn't subtract from her capturing all of the 'necessary' photos. Her style and approach is objectively outstanding, and your wedding deserves it.

Aside from her style, her other attribute that makes her a top tier wedding photographer is her personality. From our very first interaction, we knew that we were going to hire her. Her enthusiasm for working with us was obvious in our first email exchanges, and was proven to be wholly authentic in our first meetings.

Then there's the Brandon factor. This guy is awesome. He's Jessy's second shooter (and husband), and must have a master's degree in capturing candids and alternative angles. Their creative chemistry was tangible and filled in the day with even more laughs and awesome ideas (from different shots, to constructive criticism, to crowd control).

Not only is Jessy clearly passionate about her artistic work, but she really loves getting to know her couples and deliver a stellar product. By the day of the wedding, she and her husband (Brandon) felt more like old friends and guests than vendors. This goes extremely far in creating a comfortable shooting environment that generates the best photos. Not just for us either, they took the time to learn the names of everyone in our bridal party (all 8 of them!). Their commitment to us as a couple went far beyond professional, which was borne out by the tears they too shed when I was sobbing during the ceremony. I hope they know how much this meant to us.

The last thing I want to say is that Jessy is relentless. We had a huge selection of sneak peeks within a week of the event, and full delivery of the entire gallery by 6 weeks. Having had a handful of close friends get married recently, 6 weeks is insanely fast (and the quality of her edits did not suffer for it). Why so fast? Because this lady literally works round the clock (which you'd know if you followed her on Insta... do it).

Finally (I know I said the last thing was last, but there's so much), Jessy sent us a thank you package including a leather wrap of selected matte art prints, a vanilla candle, a bath bomb, and a framed pressing of a fallen leaf that she and Brandon collected on the day of our wedding. This was a totally unnecessary, but beautifully tangible collection of memories that transported us back to the day all over again. Just one more reason why Bows & Lavender should be your first choice for wedding photography.

When we first met Jessy it was like meeting a long lost friend or family member. She welcomed us with a huge smile and a warm demeanour. We knew we had found the perfect photographer for our special day.

Throughout the entire process of getting ready for the wedding she was very professional, yet kept it cool and fun for us…calming our overly high nerves of course! She didn’t fret at our plans of wanting to incorporate our dog Otis into the photos or travel to four different places before even hitting the venue! Her flexibility and cooperative spirit were greatly welcomed.

Then it came time for the big day. We were lucky enough to have her husband, Brandon be our second shooter for the day. Not only are they both beyond talented, but their adorable rapport between one another warmed our hearts and added a sense of comfort to the day. The minute they walked into the hotel it was big hugs and excitement. Although they fit right in with our group of friends, at the same time, it was like they were little photography angels that we didn’t even know were even there. We knew we wanted photos that were unscripted, in the moment that truly captured raw emotion – and that was exactly their style.

Jessy has laser vision for beauty and can find it in the most unexpected places – like a side street alley in downtown Toronto. With giving just the right amount of direction, she makes you feel like you can be yourself and not worry about what the photos will look like.

Where do I start with Jessy? From the day we met her, we instantly felt so comfortable and excited to be working with her. She made sure the entire process was enjoyable, she was extremely responsive, and answered all of my annoying questions. We loved our outside of the box engagement shoot, and Jessy ensured our style and personality was reflected. She never rushed us and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. On the wedding day, she was with us every step of the way and her assistant was incredible as well. She got us a sneak peak very quickly and the full gallery shortly after that. She has such an eye for catching the emotions and moments that you'll want to remember, and she personalizes every shoot just for you. Happy to have worked with her and would recommend a million times over.

Jessy made our day even more special than John and I could have imagined. You would be hard-pressed to find a better human being and photographer than her. The amount of comments our loved ones have made since the wedding about how amazing our photographer was is beyond what we can count.

Not only did her photos capture who we are as individuals and as a couple, she managed to document our day through photographs that depict our exact memories of the day. And somehow, on top of all that, she was a pseudo-wedding-planner behind the scenes, helping to make the day run smoothly alongside our bridal party - without us even knowing it was happening.

I can't even picture what our day would look like without Jessy. No one should get married without her.
