The worst music I’ve ever experienced at a wedding was at my own because of AMV DJs.

The issues started two days before the wedding when they, out of the blue, made an unscheduled, lengthy call to go over the already discussed itinerary. Then, the night before the wedding at 8 p.m., they sent a waiver to only my wife to sign without including me or our designated wedding coordinator (who had been CC’d in all previous correspondence and was present at every group meeting), absolving them of all responsibility for media failures. This felt inappropriate and unsettling.

Then the day of the wedding during cocktail hour, our wedding coordinator went over to say hi to the DJs and was informed that neither had worked together before. This was a little concerning because we had only had planned for one DJ and had to pay for a second meal we were not prepared for.

Throughout the night of the wedding, they missed cues, had issues playing the audio on a sound-based video we made to present that was given to them well in advance, played the music way too loud during dinner, and didn’t follow the schedule we had given them. All of these problems actively distracted my wife and me from enjoying our wedding, as we were constantly having to send our MC or wedding planner over to the booth or go over ourselves.

Nonetheless, we tried to let it all roll off our backs… until the dancing portion. We were very particular about the kind of music we liked, with an extensive request list we had provided a month prior. They played almost none of the songs from that list. Instead, they opted for soft rock and Bryan Adams-type music that only catered to the older guests who weren’t even interested in dancing.

When we went to ask for the songs we requested, they unpromptedly stated it was hard to get people on the dance floor because the bar was outside. They then proceeded to play only a couple of songs from our playlist (which, as we had promised, hyped up the dance floor), only to immediately go back to their own selections which, on a dime, cleared the room.

As a side note: I said I liked ’80s music and wanted Italian folk songs. Instead, they played no ’80s music and only played “That’s Amore” to cover the Italian portion which I considered slightly racist. Even after we requested specific Italian songs, they still didn’t play them.

The music played at our wedding was very important to us. We had a very specific vision for what we wanted to hear. Instead, we were left with generic songs that didn’t entertain us or our guests. We even had guests complain to us during the party that the music was atrocious and begged us to speak to the DJs to liven things up.

It honestly felt like the DJs were angry at us and actively trying to ruin the night, because there was no other explanation for such a complete disregard of everything we discussed or requested.

In all, our wedding would have been perfect if it weren’t for the failures of the AMV DJs. We are extremely upset and feel completely let down.

I've added pictures my photographers from another company caught of the DJs looking very confused and arguing with our MCs as the MCs tried prompting our entrance music. The DJs didn't know what song they were talking about despite us having many conversations ahead of that day. This was how our evening began. If anyone’s curious, we also have video evidence of their follies through the night.

I emailed them a year ago and have gotten no response about these issues.

We used AMV's DJ services for our wedding in September. DJ's Aka and Joe were AMAZING! Our dancefloor was NEVER empty! They were both so interactive with everyone, coming out to dance, taking requests, and even during the speeches! People keep talking about how amazing our DJ's were, they made our wedding a unforgettable party!

Tina was also fabulous to work with while organizing our songs and timeline, she is very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for the flow of events!

If you can request specific DJ's - ask for these two, you will not be disappointed!!!

I have attended MANY weddings they AMV has done for friends and family and all I can say is WOW!!! They covered my brothers wedding and their team went above and beyond to make sure that everything was captured perfectly! All the photographers and videographers were amazing to work with and made us all feel so comfortable. I can’t forget to mention the DJ who had the dance floor packed all night! It was a no brainer that when I got engaged, I NEEDED to book with AMV! Planning a wedding during COVID has been a very stressful time but AMV has made the planning process extremely easy! They have been so helpful and have given amazing suggestions!

We love AMV so much! I can't believe how it all went down. from the moment Ryan and Jeff arrived to the end of the evening. these people really know their stuff! I was a complete wreak before they got there. They really have the ability to calm any situation. the way the team meshed so well together and the fact that we never saw them in anyones way was so cool! The same day edit video was impeccable... how they do that baffels me. What we got in the end was way more than what we bargained for! I strongley recomend AMV to anyone who is looking for photography and video services. These guys will not disappoint.

I HATE MY WEDDING PHOTOS!!!! AMV is a joke!!! I received my photos from my wedding and I am embarrassed to show anyone! almost 70% of the photos are blurry or fuzzy... you can't make out any detail in the picture. Our bridal party photos have strangers who weren't even in the wedding party or even at the wedding in the background walking their dogs. One of the pictures of me and my husband clearly has a garbage can in the background! When we hired AMV we put our trust in them that they would be giving us a professional photographer who knew what they were doing and would be directing us. I don't know how they rate their standards but this is completely unacceptable and that I these are not the type of pictures that we hired them for. The rep that we spoke to tried talk her way out of it and tell us that was the photographers creative style of shoot! Complete utter BS!!! When I asked to speak to a manager or someone else in charge she told me that the manager was in a meeting and that they can have them call me back... well its been nearly 2 weeks and I still haven't got a call back from the manager or a response to my emails. I trust these guys to run a bath... find someone else who knows what they are doing!

AMV was my biggest mistake of 2018! I wish I never booked them to do my photos or video. The person we met with claimed that he was the owner of the company. He came off really arrogant like a cheap car sales man. He was pressuring me and my fiance to book with them and eventually I caved because we couldn't find anyone else for our wedding date. Every time we connected with a coordinator from AMV it was a different person - we were told that the other person moved, which was very frustrating because I had to explain myself multiple times to a different rep. I was promised a a seasoned photographer which was far from what I got my wedding day. Instead I got a young man who told one of my of the groomsman that he only started doing weddings a couple months ago. One of the videographers was more interested in one of my brides maids then he was in filming my wedding which is what I paid for him to do. I contacted AMV about my experience the wedding day and I kept on getting the run around that the "owner" will be contacting me... well it took the owner 3 weeks to finally return my calls to tell me that he will speak with his employee. By the tone in his voice through the phone it sounded like he though it was funny. In addition, when it came to the our first dance I didn't see any of the photographers or videographers around to film it. I was extremely nervous that these special moments wont be captured. It was toward the end of the song that they appeared. I was so embarrassed and angry for of how my wedding pictures and video turned out. I have only showed a few people and no one has any words. What a disappointment! I wish I never met AMV. I urge anyone looking at them as an option to stay far away.

From first appointment, to engagement shoot to detail appointments and finally the wedding day AMV was amazing to work with! We used them for photo / video and DJ and were not disappointed. The photographers were amazing, and captured different perspectives of the day giving us so many beautiful pictures! The videographers were awesome, and captured the best footage! The same day edit was amazing, I don't know how they put it together so quickly! We had horses on property that were not cooperating at all - and the photographers and videographers went WAY above and beyond to make sure we got some footage of them. The DJ kept everyone dancing all night, and made it a great party! They were all so easy to work with, and there was no stress as they were on top of it all!

Amv has been so great to us through out the wedding planning processs. They truly have everything covered when it comes to the big day. They have gone above and beyond to make our special day perfect. Special thanks to their photographers/videographers and DJ service who made our day so amazing and a day to remember forever.
