I make it a priority to get to know you, weaving your personalities and love story into a ceremony that truly feels like your own. Each celebration is filled with laughter, joyful tears, and heartfelt vows—moments you will always treasure.
Whether you envision your ceremony indoors, outdoors, or even on a boat, I am dedicated to making your special day everything you’ve dreamed of and more. Your celebration should be as unique as you are!!
My home base is Antigonish, Nova Scotia but I will travel to any location of your choice. My services include ceremonies, rehearsals, elopements and vow renewals. The rates are set out by Nova Scotia Dept. of Justice - ceremony $200.00; rehearsal $100.00; mileage (current Prov. Gov. rate for each year - 2026 is 60 cents per km)

Hi there!
I’m Cathy Gillis, and I’m so happy to be a part of this amazing team. For the past 30 years, I’ve been lucky enough to stand beside couples as they celebrate one of the most important days of their lives. My journey began with a long and fulfilling career at the Department of Justice, where I spent 35 years before retiring. Even then, my heart was always drawn to the joy, love, and excitement that came with every wedding I officiated.
Being part of a couple’s special day is an incredible privilege that I never take for granted. Each ceremony is unique, filled with laughter, happy tears, and meaningful moments. I love getting to know the couples I work with and hearing their stories, dreams, and traditions. My goal is to help create an experience that feels truly personal and unforgettable for everyone involved.
