Twenty years ago, I married the love of my life at my grandparents’ cottage. My bride and her bridesmaids arrived by boat, and on the deck, surrounded by family and friends, we declared our love and commitment in our own words. Our ceremony was grounded in what mattered most to us: each other, the people we loved, and the life we were building together. It was perfect for us.

Thanks to the trailblazing work of Humanist Canada, couples across Ontario can celebrate with a humanist ceremony. It’s centred on love, shared values and community, and it’s every bit as beautiful and meaningful as any tradition.
