YOU ARE UNIQUE. Shouldn’t your wedding reflect that with a personalized ceremony?
Your wedding ceremony is not just a formality.
It is the emotional heart of the day — the moment where meaning, intention, and commitment are made visible.
Rev. Lise Leroux (Reimagine Celebrations) is a Kelowna-based wedding officiant, writer, and certified Life-Cycle Celebrant who specializes in fully personalized, non-standard ceremonies. Lise works with couples who want more than a generic script — who want a ceremony that genuinely reflects who they are, why they chose each other, and how they want to step into marriage.
What Makes the Ceremonies Different
Every ceremony is written from scratch and shaped around your story, values, people, and priorities. The tone is meaningful, grounded, and often lightly humorous — never generic or templated.
Family and friends may be included in thoughtful, intentional ways that feel authentic rather than performative. Creative elements are incorporated only when they truly serve the couple and the moment.
Lise provides clear, calm leadership of the ceremony and rehearsal, while working collaboratively with your planner, venue team, and other vendors, allowing everyone to relax and fully enjoy the day.
Services & Ceremony Styles
Lise creates and officiates bespoke wedding ceremonies across the Okanagan, throughout British Columbia, and internationally. They may be interfaith or multi-tradition, spiritual or secular, single or dual-religion, quietly intimate or creatively designed. She regularly officiates elopements, destination weddings, adventure weddings, and traditional weddings with a non-traditional heart.
Having parachuted into her own wedding and having been an immersive theatre playwright, Lise understands ceremonies as transitional moments, not just events. Past ceremonies have included symbolic rituals, storytelling structures, movement, art, and interactive elements — always chosen to suit the couple and the context.
Beyond the Wedding Day
Lise also offers optional pre- and post-wedding experiences and couples coaching focused on communication, conflict, and sustaining strong relationships beyond the wedding day. She is currently completing a forthcoming book on relationship longevity, developed through her work with couples over many years.
Belief Systems & Traditions
Reimagine Celebrations works comfortably across a wide range of belief systems and traditions, including:
Spiritual • Buddhist • Catholic • Hindu • Islamic • Jewish • Earth-based • Presbyterian • Non-denominational • Interfaith & blended traditions

Meet the team
Originally from Montreal, Lise has been living a third of her life each in the US, UK, and Canada. She worked in learning and development within areas such as aviation security, language, transportation, publishing, finance, government, hospitality, and law. She designs and teaches courses in many areas, from customer service to people of 50 nationalities on cruise ships around the world, to leadership skills and advanced communication training to senior leaders in the Cabinet Office in London, UK.
Having always been afraid of heights (and not liking fear to win), Lise jumped out of one perfectly good aircraft in an effort to solve this, and found flying irresistible. She completed 600 jumps and parachuted into her own wedding to a fellow skydiver. She continued doing stunt work for corporate events for several years, arriving to locations by helicopter, parachute, boat, sailboat, or steam train.
Because of her lifelong interest in people and storytelling, it was an inevitable jump to becoming a writer and playwright. Her fiction has been published in multiple countries (Viking Penguin UK and Uitgeverij Arbeiderspers Netherlands) and several pieces performed on stage. Two of her books are required reading in university English literature courses, and her first novel was nominated for an international literary award (Orange Prize for Fiction).
“Involved, exuberant ... written with self-confidence and imaginative force." (The Times)
After far too many years in corporate life, Lise found that becoming a Life Cycle Celebrant was what she had always been missing. It finally gave her the opportunity to write and deliver ceremonies for real people possessing real emotions and genuine life stories. Being able to translate people’s stories into unique and memorable celebrations is an opportunity for which she is eternally grateful.
