Jonny was a wonderful officiant for our backyard ceremony! We heard many compliments afterward about how great he was from our guests. As for our experience, working with Jonny was great. He was full of helpful tips all throughout the process and was very flexible with customizing the ceremony to our liking. We did many things a little differently (e.g. a dance instead of a professional and no recessional), and he very easily went with the flow and adapted. Thank you for helping to make our day so special, Jonny!

We had the pleasure of having Jonny officiate our wedding! He is great with a crowd and one on one, he made sure we were comfortable with anything and everything related to our ceremony. I would highly recommend Jonny as a wedding officiant. From the very beginning, communication and coordination of the ceremony was executed flawlessly. He was quick to respond, open to creative suggestions and customizations to the ceremony, and very professional. On the day of the wedding, he arrived on time, well dressed, and he delivered our ceremony perfectly. As well, the signing of the license was efficient, as he had everything fully prepared and walked us through the process in under 2 minutes. And the best part was, he knew to RUN out of the background when it was time for us to seal the vows with the kiss, so there was NO CHANCE he would end up in the photos. A true professional through and through!

We had a smooth and carefree experience with Jonny, right up until the day of our wedding. My husband and I got married on May 21, 2022, in Vaughan, ON. For those of you who live in Ontario know that on that day there was a massive storm, where tornados and derechos touched ground. Our venue was outdoors at Kortright, and was set up as such. The forecasted weather changed on a dime, and within 20 min the weather had done a complete 180. Everything about our venue was a disaster due to the storm. We were forced to go with the ‘flow’ and do an immediate change within 10 min (which was impossible). We understandably had a delay and we also had a lot of decor that didn’t make it for the ceremony. Jonny was barely accommodating and when he saw the groomsmen attempting to get our custom, handmade arch indoors, he told them “it’s me or the arch” meaning if they continued he would leave. The ceremony felt rushed and impersonal. I completely understand that he may have had other weddings planned that day but he could have absolutely phrased what he had told the groomsmen differently, and a lot more kindly. I also think that other people would understand if he was running late due to the intense storm that occurred that day.

Our day had already been completely changed. We had no electricity, a few important decor pieces never made it, and some guests were completely stuck in their cars, unable to get out and make it for the ceremony. Undoubtedly, we were already so disappointed. Jonny’s attitude could have made it so much better, but he chose to add to the stress and chaos of it all.
