My husband and I decided to get married very last minute this Christmas (2025) before he was deployed to Latvia. We had about a month to pull it together. I actually found Evelyn through her daughter in my journey to find a last minute location. We ended up getting married in my parents living with just family and Evelyn was the most wonderful addition. The ceremony was so so beautiful and more than I could have imagined. Evelyn was kind, timely, patient (nothing ever starts on time when you have family coming in from out of town and an 8 month old son), Scottish (big bonus points, as we are too haha), and the ceremony felt very tailored to us. I would highly recommend I Do Ceremonies to anyone in the Muskoka area! Thanks you so much Evelyn.I Do Ceremonies's reply:

Evelyn was an excellent officiant! She was flexible with our ideas, able to guide us in how to do the best ceremony, organized, and always had a smile! My guests complimented our ceremony!

Awwww, Evelyn was so kind and made me feel very comfortable. She was like an auntie and I only got to know her within 1-2 days! I planned to elope with my husband, things were very quick and Evelyn was able to be there for us and officiate in such a short time notice. She is sentimental and flexible, she gifted me and my husband a heart shaped rock. I truly enjoyed the words she shared and her presence at our ceremony. I 1000% would recommend Evelyn to anybody looking for an officiant. 👰🏽♀️🤍I Do Ceremonies's reply:

Supermoon Wedding Ceremony
I had a hard time finding the right officiant for our wedding, and I am so grateful that I found Evelyn. Evelyn was amazing! She was super professional, caring, compassionate, and completely willing to accommodate anything we wished to incorporate into our ceremony. We had plans to have a friend co-officiate with her (our friend was unable to attend due to exams) and Evelyn was willing to do this. Evelyn was amazing to communicate with, always quick to respond and really wanting our day to be special. I loved the variety of readings she had us to pick from.
Evelyn was very accommodating- we wanted her for a ceremony rehearsal and instead of paying the requested fee, she was willing to accommodate a motel room exchange instead for her. Her willingness to do that meant a great deal to us.
During our ceremony we have little surprises for our guests and she was so into it! My husband and his groomsmen walked down as storm troopers, and Darth Vader (my husband). I walked down to the Legend of Zelda theme song, and she was totally into all of the quirky things we had added to our ceremony.
Evelyn knows what couples want and how to make their day so special and romantic and my husband and I are so happy we had her officiate our day. It was important to me to have an officiant that officiated with the care and love that my husband and I have for each other, and Evelyn did this beautifully for us.
At the end of my vows, I decided to sing lyrics from a song that is dear to my husband and I, and Evelyn even shed a tear or two during our ceremony. There was not a dry eye, and we really wanted to show our love and to have everyone feel it, and Evelyn's role in that was perfect.

In all my years of officiating I have never had "Darth Vader and Storm troopers walk down the aisle" but it was important to you and your husband to be so it was important to me that you had the ceremony of your dreams. The song you choose to walk the aisle to was very much you! and yes I had a few tears when you sang to your handsome groom. Everything about your ceremony was unique and personalized to who you both are as a couple and from the rehearsal to the ceremony it was all just so perfect. I was very honored that you chose me to be your officiant and between us we managed to fit everything in that you wanted and your love story came to life and every one there could feel and see the love you have for each other. We were very happy to have Evelyn at our wedding in Sundridge October 4th. We were unsure of our wedding date as well as location and she was very patient and understanding leading up to the final confirmation of it all. I of course forgot my bouquet at home up the street from our ceremony location the day of which was embarrassing and caused the wedding to be late since my spouse hurriedly drove back home to get it for me. If she was annoyed by that she hid it well as she had a wedding to officiate right after ours. I recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant.I Do Ceremonies's reply:

Evelyn, was the most incredible Officiant. She walked us through the entire process, she was always available for any questions we had while planning our ceremony. We did a rehearsal and were so glad we did, she had so many tips and suggestions that helped us have the best day. We couldn’t have picked a better officiant for our wedding day! It was important to us for our ceremony to feel personal and meaningful. Because of that, we had specific requests about the ceremony script, as well as including time for our grandparents to bless our wedding bands. Leading up to our wedding day, Evelyn was so supportive and enthusiastic about including all these specific details. She was easy to collaborate with to build the ceremony we envisioned. Evelyn was an absolute dream
I am so blessed to have had Evelyn
I was a nightmare to communicate with.
I was all over the place for what I wanted
And Evelyn was so understanding and professional
She was patient and kind and we spoke maybe 1 million times before we actually had our little ceremony
She talked to me many times as I changed my mind and made sure I was comfortable and happy with what we decided to do
When the day came she made everything happen
She was eloquent with her words and organized us in a way that we needed at that time to make sure that this was not only legal but cute and a lovely little experience
We so so very unorganized …
She really came in. and did her job and stepped out
She made sure that all of our documents were done perfectly that we had what we needed and she made sure to send me an email telling me exactly what had happened and what I was to do next which I really needed because I really was unsure, especially after we got married like what was the next steps she had our steps laid out for her for us.
I was so lucky to have found her
We feel like it was serendipitous
Thankfully we had her there !!!
