Jim McDonald, Professional and Hearty
Jim McDonald officied our wedding on May 18th, 2024 in Mississauga, despite we contacted him a couple weeks before the event, he immediately made himself availbale for the date and the time we picked.
He shown up 30 minutes before to arrange and prepare the chapel and the documents
He has been professional and very friendly Wedding Officiant, we felt like we knew since long time and this made us feel a bit less nervous about the ceremony
He shown to be very accomodating to our requests, he came to us with a very nice speech but he let us change some words in it and his way to pronunce the wedding "formula", with his warm and calm voice, was excatly as we wished for.
He came with a complementary wedding playlist which has been perfect to entraitn our guests before, during and after the ceremony.
Highly recommended.

Friendly and Nice service
He was the only one in many people that contacted me through phone number which is the best way for me to communicate. He has his own profile online and professional email, pictures which is the best for us/guests to trust his service. Thanks to him, we got better to prepare and adjust the stress before marriage which everyone may feel the same as us. Thanks to his lovely relationship with his wife and kids through the stories which made us even more happy seeing our future. We appreciate everything you and your wife (and your cats effort) to us. Jim is absolutely professional, patient and AMAZING!
We had our wedding on our balcony overlooking the Mississauga city hall. It was a beautiful summer day and Jim made it perfect! He was so patient, kind, and had an eye for detail. I would now only recommend him to any of my friends who are getting married! Thank you so much, Jim!

Kind, Professional and Fun
We reached out to Jim after a recommendation from a friend. As we were from different faiths, we wanted to have a humanist ceremony not based on religion. Jim's values aligned with ours. He was very responsive and was open to adapting the ceremony to reflect the cultural practices important to both of us. He also had a few templates for us to choose from and we enjoyed building a ceremony that honoured the commitment we were undertaking and our cultures. Jim was also careful to check pronounciation of our names and practices, was respectful and created a fun environment for our ceremony. We were really grateful and happy to have Jim officiate our wedding.
