Circles and Ceremonies was founded by Joanne Van Beek, a licensed wedding officiant operating out of Leduc, Alberta. As a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant, Joanne is a ceremonial and ritual specialist with specific training in creating highly personalized wedding ceremonies. Her mission is to capture the essence of the couple’s relationship, as well as their personal beliefs, values, and personalities, in a celebratory ceremony that fits them perfectly.

Right from the initial meet and greet you can feel her warmth and genuine interest in our relationship and wanting to get to know us.

A Ceremony to Remember
Joanne wrote us an individualized ceremony script, and she changed/adjusted whatever we requested. She was super accommodating and understand.
After our ceremony I had so many of our guests talk about how good and unique the ceremony was. Majority of our guest (we had 188guests) complimented us on it being the best ceremony they've ever heard/attended.
That in itself was worth the extra price we paid for her!

Meet the team
As a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant with specialization in officiating at Wedding Ceremonies, I help couples to create a wedding ceremony which tells their love story and reflects their personal values, beliefs and personality.
My Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant training comes from the Celebrant Foundation & Institute (CF&I), which offers the gold standard in Celebrancy education.
I am also an ordained Metaphysical Minister with Canadian International Metaphysical Ministries, and as Licensed Ceremony Officiant I am able to legally perform weddings in the province of Alberta.
I bring to my work as a Celebrant and Officiant many decades of experience listening to people’s stories, planning and organizing special events, designing ceremonies and rituals, teaching and public speaking in a variety of settings, leading women’s support groups and healing retreats, and experience working with diverse groups of people.
