I love weddings and I love LOVE! As a professional Alberta marriage commissioner, my goal is to take away the stress and nerves of your special day to give you the best ceremony ever! But what does that mean? The best ceremony ever is the one about YOU! We take your love story and weave it into a beautifully compelling, fun, and memorable ceremony that all of your guests will be raving about!
It’s lighthearted and laidback, it will make you laugh, and maybe even make you cry. It’s just long enough to enjoy the importance of this milestone event, but short enough to leave everyone wanting more.
As a civil commissioner my ceremonies are non-religious, but I love to incorporate your cultural traditions or your personal beliefs as you wish. This is your ceremony after all! Whatever your style, you can take comfort in knowing that I’ll walk you through your special day from start to married!

I truly don't have enough words to describe how incredible Laura is. Both us and our guests were in complete 'awe' of the incredible job she did. She made our ceremony perfect, exactly what we were wanting. We were rather picky with choosing our officiant as we didn't want it dry, to generic, or religious in any way as neither of us are faith based, but yet we had high expectations as the ceremony was the most important part to us. Laura exceeded our expectations 100 times over. We had multiple comments throughout our night asking about our officiant, "Was she a close friend, or family?", "She knew your story inside and out", no one believed that only a few months prior, Laura was a complete stranger to us. Laura was a pleasure to work with start to finish. She was professional, understanding, fun and light hearted, and truly put her heart and soul into making our ceremony absolutely perfect. We can't thank Laura enough for keeping smiles and laughs coming from ourselves and everyone throughout our whole ceremony. Hi, I'm Laura! Your marriage officiant and wedding hype-woman!
If you asked me 5 years ago if this is what I'd be doing full-time, I never would have guessed. But, a curiosity about how to become a marriage commissioner in Alberta, and an absolute love of ceremonies have led me, to what I believe, is my true calling.
To be a part of a couple's special day, writing their love story, and seeing the reactions of friends and families drives my passion to create the most beautiful ceremonies for my couples.
I've always loved to tell stories, whether it was visually as a graphic designer, or planning the perfect event. Now, I get to retell love stories on one of the most important days for a couple. *Pinch me, I'm dreaming!*
When I'm not standing between two lovers, reciting words of commitment, I am working on my Airbnb that I run out of my house. I love to explore Jasper National park by hiking, paddleboarding, skiing, or cycling. There are endless adventures here!
At home, I love to spend time with my husband, Al, and my black cat, Pad Thai (yes that's really her name)!
I also love fashion (it was my first college diploma!), so I carry that love to my ceremonies by trying to match your colours and ceremony vibe!
