We worked with Uptown Strings for our wedding ceremony and reception. We opted for the string quartet for 3 hours. It was such a treat. They played so beautifully. Their renditions of the songs had so much joy, fun, and liveliness to it. They set the vibe so well at our wedding. The volume sound levels were perfect somehow. All four artists had such great chemistry with each other. They also set up audio for speeches during our reception. Really wish we could work with them again! You have the option to customize the songs they play so definitely check on those! -

Uptown Strings was the perfect addition to our day! Darcy was so kind and easy to work with from day one. Cooler weather conditions on the wedding day forced us to be indoors, but it ended up working beautifully as our ceremony space had a balcony that was perfect for the trio. Our guests were so surprised when they realized our music was live! They sounded amazing throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour. This was truly the most memorable part of our wedding day(: -

We hired Uptown Strings to play at the Cocktail hour at our wedding, and it was fantastic. They even accommodated a special request for us, for the bride's brother to sing with them while they played - It brought the bride to tears.
Fantastic group of musicians, very professional, and would highly recommend. -

We had the pleasure of having Uptown Strings perform at our wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic! Darcy was great to communicate with throughout the planning process, making everything so smooth. The team was incredibly professional and quickly learned the song we requested for our Hindu ceremony, playing it flawlessly. Not only did they perform our favorite pieces with perfection, but they were also very flexible, moving seamlessly between different areas of our venue to accommodate various ceremonies and cocktail hour. We hired the Duo to play at our recent wedding. Darcy and team were super friendly and professional. From the get go they asked us exactly what we wanted and were more than willing to learn a specific song for us. On the day they were set up right on time and all our guests were commenting on the quality of the music as they arrived. During the ceremony they timed the music perfectly and it really added a really beautiful atmosphere to the moment. They are absolutely amazing and I couldn’t recommend them more! -

May 2024 Wedding - Calgary, AB
We booked Uptown Strings (violin and cello duo) for our May 2024 wedding ceremony at the Lakehouse in Calgary. We wanted the special live music touch to add to our ceremony and I had my heart set on a specific song to walk down the aisle to. The music was fantastic - they played some modern songs, as we requested, but were also able to play our special request songs. One of the groomsman commented that the live music was one of his favourite parts of the wedding day, and we loved it too! During the planning process, Darcy was also fantastic to deal with - responsive and professional. -

One of the best vendors for your wedding! We hired the guitar and violinist duo for our ceremony and portion of our cocktail hour. Darcy was professional from day 1, answered all of our questions, arrived timely the day of and delivered a beautiful performance. We even had a request for one of our ceremony songs that wasn’t on their song list and they learned it and played the day of and it was perfect !!! Couldn’t recommend them enough. Thank you Darcy for making our day extra special.
