Sam Wilson provides music services for the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and/or reception. She is an award-winning guitarist based on the East Coast in Halifax/Kjipuktuk, Nova Scotia/Mi'kma'ki. Blending her early love of finger-style and acoustic guitar music with her love of jazz, she has crafted an original voice on her instrument. Sam can work with you to provide instrumental music for your wedding.

Experience

Sam has provided music services for many weddings ranging from small and intimate to larger outdoor services. She has also provided music services for the Port of Halifax, LungsNSPEI, Pier 21, the QEII Foundation, The Pediatric Assoiciation of Canada, The Flower Cart Group, Mercer, Nova Scotia Nature Trust, Marriott Hotel, Maclean's Flowers ltd., Sugarmoon Farm and more.

In addition to providing music for events, she has released four recording projects as a leader, which have received nominations from the East Coast Music Awards and Music Nova Scotia. Her collaborative album New Doors with Andrew Jackson won Music Nova Scotia's 2023 Jazz Recording of the Year, and her solo album Into a Heart Pt. II (2020 Muzak Records - Japan/2021 Canada) won Music Nova Scotia's 2022 Jazz Recording of the Year.
