The makeup was nice but I was really looking forward to getting a specific hairstyle which I was assured will be created for me. But it didn’t look like what I wanted. During the hair styling process, I expressed my concern that it didn’t look how I wanted multiple times and each time was told it would settle and look like the photo I wanted but it didn’t. Sure, the hair looked nice, but I was so excited to get a specific style done (which was in their portfolio too) and it wasn’t delivered.

COVID hit all vendors hard, but I think Noor and her team mismanaged very badly. I will not be recommending this "luxury bridal service to anyone". As, this was the vendor that gave me the most stress, and was the most disorganized.

1. I booked my wedding makeup around November 2020, for a July 2021 wedding. From Jan 2021 I was messaging asking for a trial every single month, to which COVID was given as the reason why trials could not be scheduled in advance. When I stated that other vendors are being flexible and do book appointments beforehand, and then cancel given COVID restrictions a week or two before, I was told they dont want brides cancelling appointments and emailing them about it and they dont ask me what other vendors do, and this is their policy. But, this is a premium bridal service, I paid over 1.4k for this. I do expect some sort of administrative flexibility. I kept emailing every month, and then June 14th I was told they will book me in for a trial. 2 days later I was told I will not be getting a trial as the makeup artist works 9-5 and then also is busy during the weekends. IF the makeup artist has a very strict schedule and limited trial times, this is something you should communicate to the bride BEFOREHAND. I would have chosen differently, if I knew getting a trial would be this difficult. IDK what they were thinking not booking trials beforehand and cancelling if the phases changed, with a makeup artist with limited time capacity. I would have been happy if I felt like the NOOR team made an effort to book a trial which was then cancelled due to COVID. Not a team that made NO effort at all, and was just making excuses. I was stressed, and anxious about my makeup and hair on the wedding day because of this.

2. I asked for an earlier start time a year before the wedding, which was approved. The week before my wedding where I sent the formal summary email, I was told the hairstylist can come for 4:00am, but makeup will be 4:30am and they were making an exception. When I clarified that this request was already approved a YEAR ago, they said it was for another event I cancelled. When I stated that there was only one event and it was this event, I just got a "oh please trust us, you have more than enough time". No, I don't trust you, because you have been inconsistent and are disorganized.

3. I, as the bride, was on time and ready for the hairstylist to arrive. Brides get penalized for even half an hour the artist is left waiting (which I agree), but my makeup artist who was first supposed to arrive at 4am, and then 4:30am, did not come in until 4:55am. So they were the ones that were later, where is my compensation?

4. While signing the contract, I said please send a reminder email when the second payment is due. All my other vendors did this, and I know there are automated systems that will send the email (maybe invest in one??), but when I reached out to them for something else they said your payment is two days late, but we wont charge you the fees. I immediately sent the payment, but  reminder emails are something that is expected of a luxury bridal service.

5. I also didn't like my makeup, the foundation was a little too dark and the lip color was horrible. When asked to fix the makeup artist did another swatch and then kind of just left? I changed the lip color afterwards. But, I didn't feel beautiful or confident at all.

6. When booking I asked for Hair by Fero, without even informing me of the change the day of my wedding someone else came in. That was extremely unprofessional to not be informed of a change. As a new artist means a different style, that I am not aware of or book for...

7. I truly felt that, they hold the brides 100% accountable to the contract that was written before COVID really hit, so bridal flexibility due to COVID wasn't given and every ask was met with it "this isnt in the contract, there is this fee, this is what we agreed", but they changed their policies etc to fit their specific needs and gave themselves a lot of flexibility.

I would not recommend this service to anyone who wants to have a stress free bridal makeup experience. They are an administrative nightmare, and provide service that is worth way less than what you paid for.

My mom and sisters were so happy with their looks as well, they really loved their makeup and hairstyles. They said that it was the best professional MUAH they have ever gotten done, and that includes the time we all got professional MUAH for both my sisters weddings.

Noor was a dream to work with. Her makeup skills are truly a gift. As a bride who needed three looks: Tea Ceremony, Hindu and Traditional white dress, Noor put me at ease. She masterfully created a makeup look that would transition AND last through all three ceremonies. I would not hesitate to recommend Noor to any of my friends or family. I got so many compliments on how I looked that day and I know that Noor played a big role!

Noor and her team were a pleasure to work with. They arrived on time and did a great job getting me (bride), my four bridesmaids, and my mom ready for the big day. I was very happy with both my makeup and hair (which actually stayed intact even though it drizzled on us during photos).

Noor is the Owner of Noor Artistry and was recommended by a friend who is a Wedding Planner and she did not disappoint! She knows a lot about skin care and beauty. I decided on an updo with hair extensions and a bit of hair jewelry. My hair needed to last all day and since I was having an outdoor ceremony she spent a great deal of time making sure it was perfect. Noor takes her time and we often found ourselves chatting about life as if we were friends before this. She cared deeply and understood what I wanted. She is calm and collected the day of and is really sweet and pleasure to work with! She also did make up for all 5 of my bridesmaids and brought in someone for hair for them as well. I will definitely use her for future events. I would highly recommend her for your wedding hair and make up.

Noor was referred to me through multiple sources, and after working with her, I can absolutely see why she was so highly recommended. She is really sweet and she made our early morning makeup booking very comfortable.I knew the moment I met her that she knew exactly what she is doing and she loves her job.

Noor is talented and executed exactly what I asked for, however, what I did not appreciate was her defensiveness when I asked not to be on social media. This happened immediately at the onset of my appointment with her. When I indicated I did not want to be recorded for Tik Tok/IG stories she immediately responded with "it's in the contract." Mind you, I did not sign this part of the contract, so therefore, I did not provide this consent in writing. I also do not use social media myself, and appreciate privacy. Not wanting to argue with the artist on the day of my wedding, I begrudgingly let it be. I'm sure she could tell I was uncomfortable, but she didn't seem to care and recorded a good portion of my makeup application using a device which she mounted onto the window sill. A week later it appeared on both her IG and TikTok platforms. If a client asks not to be recorded in THEIR home for your social media, then respect that. Apart from this, I have nothing negative to say, but nevertheless, it soured my mood a bit on the day of.

There are so many things that make Noor an outstanding choice for bridal hair and makeup. She has a remarkable talent for her work and demonstrates exemplary professionalism. Her style provides for a flawless and modern beauty which photographs so well and also looks perfect in person. Besides that, she is such a sweet and kind person, and a well-rounded intellectual lady with whom it's so easy to talk about anything in the world for hours on. Highly recommend Noor for bridal hair and makeup (and to make her your future best friend too haha)!

If you prize pure talent over basic professionalism, business ethics, and trustworthiness then I would highly recommend Noor.

I booked a bridal H&M trial mid March and did my session March 30. My flawless makeup application was overshadowed by poor execution on hair despite clear picture examples of my desired aesthetic.

In spite of this, I wanted to move forward given Noor’s terrific makeup skill. I proceeded with a clear email less than 24 hours from my trial on 1) request for next steps and a live call that day (a clear intention to hire) 2) request for the pictures of styles we did (to avoid those errors in my wedding day) and 3) a copy of my receipt as I was charged cash + tax per initial email instructions (no proof of purchase was provided at time of sale).

A haphazard response 8 hours later only addressed 1) that a 30% retainer to secure the services was needed (a steep ~$360 considering the mixed performance on the trial) and 2) only 1 picture of at least 5 taken of the hair. I made a second request for the receipt in swift response, only to receive a response 20 hours later saying no receipt could be provided. Flexibility on a time to connect live / telephonically was yet to be offered, in spite my international travel involved for the trial and obvious eagerness to proceed with the contract.

I continued with repeated attempts to connect live but another 24 hours later, just 3 days from my original trial I was informed another bride had been booked.

The fact that another contract was being negotiated despite my good faith interactions was simply insult to injury and the rationales of “first come first serve” were equally unprofessional.

While an unfortunate trial situation for me, I’m relieved such poor form was not an experience I would be vulnerable to on my wedding day.
