Meet the team
I’ve loved makeup for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was inspired by my mom’s love of fashion magazines, and what started as a childhood fascination eventually became a passion, a career, and ultimately the business I had always dreamed of creating.
My journey to Chosen Canvas is deeply personal. In 2015, I got sober, and that decision became the beginning of an entirely new chapter in my life. I began working with MAC Cosmetics and went on to become a Floor Manager at the Toronto Eaton Centre, where I continued developing my artistry, building my confidence, and discovering just how much I loved helping women feel incredible in their own skin.
In 2016, I stepped into the bridal world and never looked back. There is something truly special about being part of a wedding morning, from the excitement and emotion to the privilege of helping a bride see the look she has been dreaming about come to life. For me, bridal beauty has never been about simply applying makeup. It’s about understanding who you are, making you feel cared for, and creating a look that allows you to walk into one of the biggest moments of your life feeling confident, beautiful, and completely yourself.
Along the way, my life continued to grow in ways I once could have only dreamed about. Sobriety gave me the foundation to build a successful beauty business, marry my incredibly supportive husband, Jon, during COVID, and become a mom to our two beautiful daughters, Elliot and Austin.
For years, I dreamed of creating a space of my own, a place where women could come not only to look beautiful, but to genuinely feel amazing in their skin. In May 2022, Jon and I decided to go all in and bring that vision to life. Chosen Canvas Beauty Bar became that space and, just as importantly, something we are building for the future of our family and our daughters.
Today, empowering women remains at the heart of everything I do. Whether I’m getting a bride ready to walk down the aisle, preparing someone for a special event or photoshoot, or welcoming a client into the beauty bar, I want every woman who sits in my chair to leave feeling seen, cared for, confident, and beautiful.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, grateful for every woman who trusts me to be part of her story, and still amazed that the dream I carried for so many years is now something I get to live every day.
