Winner of the “Make Up Specialist of the Year” at the 2018 Toronto Hair and Beauty Awards, Michele Gomes is one of the GTA’s most sought-after Makeup Artists and Hairstylists for Bridal and other special events. Now specializing in both special events and teaching, Michele’s services are in such high demand that she has built a team of talented makeup artists and hairstylists who work within her expanding company. Whether working alone or with her team, she never fails to impress her clientele with her talent and professionalism.
Experience
She completed the Sheridan College Makeup Techniques Management Diploma program with high honours in 2006 and went on to obtain her Hairdressing license at Avola College. Throughout the 13 years of her professional career within the industry, she has explored various areas to further her development, from working for high-end makeup lines such as NARS and MAC Cosmetics to working on various runway fashion show events, film and television, and print work. Michele graduated from Teachers College in 2012 and is currently a Cosmetology teacher in secondary education. In addition, she has taught a Makeup Artistry diploma program at a private college.

Throughout the 18 years of her professional career, she has become an expert in Bridal services and has perfected her craft though working on thousands of faces of varying ages and ethnicities. Her work has been featured in WedLuxe Canada, Event source and other Bridal publications.
Her services became in such high demand, that in 2014 she built a team of talented makeup artists and hairstylists to accommodate the volume of requests. Whether working alone or with her hand picked team of artists, she never fails to impress her clientele with both talent and professionalism.
In addition to running her successful Hair and Makeup business, Michele is also a certified OCT Cosmetology teacher, currently working in a Secondary School, in addition to previously teaching a Makeup Artistry Diploma program at a private college in Toronto. She currently provides lessons for individuals interested in creating their own looks, as well as both aspiring and seasoned makeup artists.
