About

MakeupLady is a beauty company run by Allana, a makeup and eyelash extension artist and hairstylist from Toronto. During her 10 years in the industry, she has worked on a number of television and print media projects. Allana understands that their wedding is the most important day of her brides’ lives and takes great effort to make their experience with her fun and professional. Her work has been featured in E! Entertainment Television, CTV, 20th Century Fox, the Toronto International Film Festival, Toronto Fashion Week, Holt Renfrew, Elegant Wedding Magazine and The Perfect Wedding Magazine, and more.

Services Offered

Trial sessions and consultations are offered. Mobile hair and makeup services are also provided. Clients also get a touch up kit which includes powder and lip products. Makeup services include:

Allana Mirza - Lead MUA and Hair Stylist of Make Up Lady Canada is an absolute SOUL! She is a an absolute delight and I am so glad that we got the chance to work together.
From day one of our instagram and facebook, heart to heart inspiring reviews of one another works, I knew she was a charm. I recently got to know her on a more professional level and fell in love with her work. She is now one of my TOP 3 MUA referrals and never will I doubt her. She not only gives you her time, but her laughs. She's a superwoman and a God damn beauty!

Excellent MUA

Allana is super sweet. She has great character, she's a responsive business woman, and a beautiful soul. I had a makeup trial done by her on Wednesday for my wedding, as I was testing out a few artists in the city before settling on one.

I will give her credit that despite not knowing exactly what I wanted, she was open to providing suggestions and to hearing my concerns. She captured the "natural" look that I was looking for, creating a soft glam without being too crazy.

Pricing is comparable compared to other local artists, but she offers a lot more services than most make-up companies offer, such as eyelash extensions, hair, etc. If there isn't a service she offers, she will be accommodating in the sense that she will be willing to offer suggestions to help you find exactly what you are looking for. Would highly recommend.

I've been thinking of doing about Microblading since Sept of last year. I finally saw and followed Allana's work and was convinced she was the perfect artist/professional to do the job. I booked an appointment two weeks ago. I'm extremely happy with the results. I followed all her instructions with the after care. Exactly what she told me was dead on. I'm a happy girl! I recommend her ??

Don't rock the boat with her.
She does not know how to take your opinions if she finds them in contrast to her own.
She is over reactive and should not be in a public service sector.
A few people skills would help.
She appears to have possible Sociopath tendencies.

Hi Jara-Lynn, I am sorry you feel this way. But I would like to clarify somethings. When you came to me to have your eyebrows done, you had certain insecurities that you shared me. I told you that I would take my time to build your eyebrows naturally, over a period of two appointments.

We had a lovely chat while you were at the salon and then two days later you emailed me in a panic (stating your eyebrows were too dark and that you may have had an eye infection due to using to much coconut oil) I called you to ensure you that all is normal and as they heal they will lighten, and to use a very small amount of oil. Sure enough, when you emailed me again to confirm you were coming to your second appointment, you asked that I make your eyebrows "THICKER" and "DARKER".

Because you were obviously indecisive about what you wanted (being too dark to wanting darker and thicker) I did not want to put myself in a position that would leave you unhappy. This is why I offered you a full refund. When you came into the salon I was very calm and was extremely honest by telling you that " I don't think I can give you what you're looking for" I offered you your money back and you declined. After you got loud and swore at me a few times, you left and I was saddened by your abrupt departure. But was happy that I didn't JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY LIKE SO MANY OTHERS WOULD. I was honest with you, that your first email after your initial visit with me had me concerned because you were obviously unhappy, and you played it off by saying you were having a "bitchy day". So please, if you are going to write a review with hopes of defaming my name please do so with all the facts; that you were unhappy and indecisive and that I had enough integrity, to be honest in telling you that I was not the artist for you.

Allana was an absolute joy to have around during the getting ready process. She was professional, full of energy and of course her eye for make up is on point. She listened to exactly how I pictured myself looking like on my wedding day. Overall; myself, the bridesmaids and my mother were very happy with our make up and hope to use Allana's services again.

"I cannot be happier with Allana's work. She is a hard worker who cares about giving her clients high quality services. She is meticulous, asks for feedback and makes sure that her clients are satisfied. I always walk away feeling so pleased about how my hair looks. Allana is also trustworthy, honest, reliable and so I depend on her recommendations for other services or products that I desire. I am thankful for the referral for my nails and skin products, as these were great referrals and beyond what I would have set up for myself! I enjoy my time with her as she clearly cares about people. I have recommended her to my family and friends with the utmost confidence in her standards. Allana is hands down the person you want to do your hair and makeup for your wedding. This was my second time working with her (Allana did my hair and makeup for my sister-in-law’s wedding) and she did the most amazing job and I couldn’t have been happier! Not only does she make you look and feel like your best self but she is also very professional and personable, makes you feel special on and leading up to your wedding day and does anything and everything to make sure that you enjoy your day. I will be recommending Allana to all my girlfriends and I hope to work with her again!!

Allana (The Makeup Lady) was absolutely amazing to work with and was without a doubt a huge contributing factor to how great I felt on my wedding day! Working with Allana and her team was relaxed, fun, and super enjoyable from start to finish. We laughed through the trial session and entire morning of getting ready on the day of. Allana has an amazing energy and is able to handle a vast array of personalities and stress-levels depending on the bridal party and family. The Makeup Lady provided bridal party hair and make-up for myself, my bridesmaids, and 2 moms.

I would not hesitate to work with Allana again and I would gladly refer her to any friend, family and bride-to-be for their wedding day!
Overall, an amazing member of my wedding team!!!

I can not say enough great things about Allana and her assistant! They went above my expectations. Myself and 6 woman from my bridal party had hair and makeup done for my wedding in New York on April 11th, 2015. Allana did all the makeup and hair for myself and 3 woman, she brought her assistant to help with hair and everyone looked STUNNING! Allana was amazing,prompt and full of energy (even though she just got off the plane) . She was very accommodating and professional. I would highly recommend Makeuplady to anyone in need of hair and makeup for their event. I will be using them again.
