Rebecca truly is a master makeup artist! She is so experienced and knows how to bring your goals to life. I trusted her with my hair and makeup completely. Dolly did my MOH and bridesmaid makeup and hair. She was so kind, gentle, and provided flawless service. AnnimationsMkUp is VERY thorough with prep instructions leading up to your wedding day. Annika was so sweet and incredibly professional, and her excellent organization demonstrated her high level of experience as a master artist! My wedding morning ran more smoothly than I could have ever thought possible as her artists adhered to her carefully crafted schedule, which meant plenty of time for me and my girls to enjoy our morning getting ready, which was amazing.
For my own services I specifically requested Annika and it was the best decision I could have made - she took lots of care to let me know what she was doing throughout both services and asked me questions about what I wanted and liked for my hair and makeup, which resulted in the most show-stopping wedding day glam of my dreams 🥹🤍 her attention to detail is unmatched - she even trimmed some of my dead ends for me (with my permission beforehand of course) so my hair would fall more smooth and even at the back! Not only was I obsessed with my look, but it lasted THE. ENTIRE. DAY. right up to the end of the night, I was packing up my florals with perfect glam waves and makeup that was fully intact after a full 13 hours of outdoor photos, outdoor ceremony, lots of tears, and dancing my tail off at the reception!
If you want a seamless wedding morning and the most gorgeous glam of your life that will last through your entire wedding day, Annika is your girl, I whole heartedly recommend her and the annimations team to any bride looking to feel her absolute best on her special day 🤍 -

Beyond Happy!
I booked AnimationsMkUp over a year in advance of my big day, and every single time I reached out with questions throughout the year, Annika was incredibly quick to respond and always made me feel special throughout the entire process. I've always been a bit anxious about getting my makeup done, as I can be quite particular, but Annika consistently put me at ease.
She did my hair and makeup for my bridal shower, my bridal preview, and, of course, my wedding day. I can confidently say I was absolutely blown away by how I looked on my wedding day. I told Annika I wanted to feel like a golden goddess mermaid, and somehow, she made me feel even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined.
Annika’s team was also amazing. My five bridesmaids were all in love with their hair and makeup! I highly recommend Annika and her team! -

Annika and her team were such a delight to work with on my wedding day! I never felt so beautiful, and she executed everything perfectly. From our trial we were able to figure out exactly what I was looking for, and the day of couldn't have come out any better. My bridal party, my mother, and my aunt all loved their makeup and hair, and felt so confident, it shown through the photos. -

Annika did a wonderful job for my bridal trial and wedding day. She was super easy to work with and offered suggestions and tips to make sure I looked my best. Honestly, I’m still surprised with how beautiful I looked on my wedding day. I wish that my extensions matched my curl pattern a bit better and that the shimmer used on the day of matched my skin tone but those were small hiccups. Overall, Annika did an amazing job. She made me and my MOH look beautiful. -

We had a great time working with Annimations and we all looked and felt beautiful for our wedding day! As two brides, we were initially drawn to Annimations from a friend's recommendation as an inclusive vendor. Annika put together the "Love Is Love" package which didn't penalize us with extra costs just because we were two brides wanting hair and makeup done. We had hair and makeup done for us two brides plus 6 bridesmaids and our mother's hair with 3 artists in 5 hours. Everything ran smoothly and we finished even a little bit early!
We did have a couple glitches with the online system for emailing back-and-forth and had some delayed responses leading up to the wedding. All in all it was not major and everything worked out perfectly! -

I had a contract with AnnimationsMkUp almost a year before my Sept. 13th wedding - they had requested I fill out a specific document and use it as an example which I returned to them as promptly as possible (I had a death in the family, but this was months prior to my wedding). The owner, Annika, was understanding and once I submitted it I heard nothing. I followed up a few weeks later to book my trial and confirm she had received it.
She did, and let me know that for all of the bridesmaids and myself who do not know their "skin description/type" or have a dedicated skin care routine, they will need to sign a waiver indicating that AnnimationsMkUp will not be responsible for the lack of longevity of the makeup if it doesn't hold. I thought that was odd, and it wasn't mentioned anywhere in my contract, but I moved on and tried to collect more information for her.
She had then let me know that her artists were able to refuse service if they did not have enough information about skin type, etc. This worried me and I went through my entire contract and there was no clause about this, the only clause about refusal of service was for aggressive behavior, uncomfortable environment, etc. I asked her to call me at this point to go over the contract and clarify.
I mentioned many times to her that I do not have a dedicated skin care routine, I know nothing about makeup and don't wear it often and neither do my bridesmaids. After some back and forth, and (to me) implications that I was unclean, she decided she did not want to work with me. I was left high and dry with less than 2 months before my wedding.
Afterwards I got my deposit back and found many other companies willing to work with me, and more than happy with the details I originally provided to Annika. Annika has since tried to attack my character for speaking out about my experience, I really hope this is a one-off experience but wanted to share my almost year long experience.AnnimationsMkUp Professional Make Up and Hair Styling's reply:

Thank you so much for submitting this review. I am glad that people will be able to see your side and also my own.
As I said in my original response to your google review, I fired you as a client mostly due to your total disdain and lack of respect for myself, my team and your industry. At Annimations, I am the owner here, and I don’t have a security team, or and HR department, or any way to protect myself or my team from verbal abuse than to terminate the client. I will not force my team to work in a possible hostile work environment when I have experience first hand a client speaking to me and treating me like a lowly servant, and have no respect for your industry and our work. This is what I experienced from you on our phone call.
Additionally, we have had Brides throughout the years with even less of a skin care routine than you. But instead of scoffing and insinuating that makeup and skin care is not something you have any interest in and it is beneath you to care about some shallow and meaningless, trivial topic such as makeup and skin care, these Brides start a routine based on my recommendations and make sure their bridal party follow our guidelines. They have respect or us that we know our craft and accept our recommendations and directions with open arms because they are willing to make changes in order to ensure the best possible results on their wedding day. I am not asking people to get botox and lip filler, I am not asking people to spend thousands or even $100 towards this, I just ask them to simply take care of their skin and stay hydrated to the best of their ability, and if they do not know how, to take my advice and do so daily prior to the wedding.
With both your extremely abusive treatment of me over the phone and your total lack of openness to getting to the bottom of your skin types and routine so that I could help you, I could not see Annimations as the company for you and thusly I terminated our contract and sent you a full refund of your deposit. Under no circumstance would I ever subject my team to work for someone with the capacity to treat others like scum under their finger nails the way you spoke to me and decimated my entire life’s work with your cruel and mocking attitude.
I know your wedding has gone by and you had a great day, and I am happy for you. And I know this review and my reply is public. Hopefully this will encourage other clients who have low opinions of the beauty industry or have no intention of opening their minds to it, to refrain from contacting us as a possible vendor for their day as we are not the correct company for them.
Please enjoy your married life and thank you again for sharing this, it will help us greatly to deter any future similar circumstances.
