I highly recommend Monica Le to be your wedding hair stylist! For one, Monica is such a lovely person. She is so sweet and was a very calming presence on the morning of the wedding.
Monica also pays very close attention to detail. I was so pleased with the outcome of my hair trial as well as my hair on my wedding day. She did such an amazing job not only for myself, but for my four other bridesmaids. Our hair stayed put through a night of dancing and drinking!
I got compliments on my hair all night thanks to Monica! Thank you so much for your amazing work Monica! :) -

She is amazing!!!! She brought a sense of tranquility to a pretty intense and special wedding day. Truly a hair artist and made my hair look natural and so much more. I have very fine hair and the amount of volume she got out of my hair for my up-do was impressive. I had a trial run done at her studio in Hamilton which was worth the drive from Mississauga. She's conscientious and professional. On the day, she was punctual and well prepared. I could not ask for more and I knew I didn't have to worry about my hair because she was there. -

Two events, two great experiences!
My husband and I had a small ceremony followed by a larger reception a month later. Monica styled my hair, as well as my mom and sister's hair, for both events. Her calm demeanor, attention to detail and friendly vibe were a welcome addition to our mornings. Monica took photos and showed us our hairstyles at different angles, asking for and acting on feedback to ensure we were satisfied. Both my "down-do" and up-do looked good all day long (I've had curls go limp before). So happy her salon is close by so I can continue going to her for hair services. Thanks again, Monica!! -

Monica was fantastic. I had a trial at her salon in Hamilton and then she came to us on the day of. Five ladies had their hair done (including myself) and she ran on time and was a pleasure to work with.MonStyleFile's reply:

Monica was so incredible to work with, from answering my many questions in the beginning, to calming my nerves the morning of the wedding. She isn’t just an amazing stylist- she’s also such a friendly and great person. I couldn’t recommend MonStyleFile more!
Her website and Instagram gave me an idea of the wide range of styles and hair types she can work with. I’ve always been pretty basic when it comes to doing my own hair, so I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Monica answered all my concerns and guided me towards a look that would go with all my outfits, would feel comfortable, and would stay for the whole day. She also happened to be in the middle of a very busy period when we first started chatting, but was able to get back to me despite everything else going on!
Monica was very accommodating. She’s based in Hamilton but was able to book my trial in Thornhill and come on-site in downtown Toronto for the wedding. At the trial, we talked, went through some photos and ultimately went with a full updo. She incorporated my hairpiece and showed me how to put in and take out my veil. I spent the rest of the day running around and testing to see if the style would hold. And it did!
For the wedding, Monica also did my mom and sister’s hair. My mom has thinner hair that just went past her shoulders. She asked for an elegant updo. My sister went for a half updo. I asked for a repeat of the trial style, but with a more face framing front. Monica knocked everything out of the park! She made all of us feel so glamourous and at ease during a very hectic morning. And of course, our hair stayed on looking amazing for the whole warm June day.
I feel really lucky having been able to work with Monica. She took all of our concerns and requests, and worked them into really beautiful hairstyles. I’ll say it again: I couldn’t recommend her enough!
PS: I wore a wig for my wedding! Can you tell?

I am so happy to have had Monica be a part of my wedding day - she did my bridesmaids', mother's, and my hair and truly did an incredible job! I did a hair trial a couple of months before with Monica where she got to show me different styles of hair to see which one would work best, which was very helpful. Monica is very experienced and knowledgable in her craft, and also excellent with communication. We ended up doing a classic effortless updo for my day and I absolutely loved it! One easy tick off your mountain of lists - no worries about this stylist
Full disclosure: we've met before. Monica is an acquaintance that I've known in the past, and ran into again when she was doing hair for ANOTHER wedding party I was a part of.
Picture this: it's 6 am and none of us has had any sleep. We, as the women of the wedding party, had decided to have the bride's bachelorette party the DAY BEFORE the wedding. Admittedly none of us were wild party girls, but goddamn if we didn't stay up late the night before and have very little sleep. I was personally nursing a hell of a cough throughout the entire thing (and this persisted into the ceremony).
This is to say, that at 6 am, none of us were in any functioning shape to do anything whatsoever, and Monica arrives, right on time, to do our hair. I have not seen her for years and greeted her with a disgruntled grunt. Great start to the wedding!
To Monica's excellent credit, she took it in stride, set up her workstation, and one by one started working on our hair. Her demeanor was calm and collected and she dealt with us when really no one should have been dealing with us.
This impressed me a lot so I booked her for my own wedding the next year.
Picture this: it is ass crack early in the morning two months ago, and Monica arrives right on time, while none of us were in any functioning shape whatsoever to deal with anything. If the chimes of Deja-vu didn't ring in me that morning, it would have been because I wasn't aware enough to know.
Once again, to her credit, she and her assistant were professional, easy to work with, and calm, dealing with each bridesmaid while my entire extended family and friends and whomever else swirled around us in a frenzy of activity.
Monica is easy to work with and a calm port in the storm when shit hits the fan, which it always does at weddings. I was very satisfied that I didn't have to worry that I was going to have a hair incident and that my girls were going to be taken care of, because god knows wedding days are hectic enough. It was one easy tick off my mountain of lists.
Transaction wise, she was very straight forward as well. Everything was laid out in the contract I received, and she replied to all my questions within a day. She was good with following up beforehand for test updos and reminded me when I was getting behind with that. She even reached out to my makeup person (also fantastic) to coordinate when I was one week out and too frazzled to remember anything.
Also it should be said I am Vietnamese and had to wear a ridiculously large-ass hat for my tea ceremony. She took care of the updo during our pre-wedding tests to make sure I could wear said large-ass hat with my updo of choice.
Anyway, to sum up, I highly recommend Monica for your future hair endeavors. She is professional, easy to work with, and has experience with wedding parties that reply in grunts in the morning.
