Based in Hamilton, Ontario, we are botanical artists working with natural materials, and mixed media artworks. We produce for large and intimate weddings and events, large scale artworks, editorial, and permanent interior art pieces. Our style is non-traditional, and is best described as offbeat, dramatic, unhinged beauty. We work with a variety of materials, including dried and preserved floral and mosses, tropical exotics, fruit and textiles. We work with a network of trusted local growers to use Ontario flowers whenever possible, and effort to operate with sustainable practices whenever possible. Our focus working with wedding clients surrounds design, embodiment, and execution. Our work is, in essence, collaborative - and we wish to work together on concepts infused with colour and emotion🌈.

Tasha is a rare talent. Hire her pronto!
My husband and I hired Tasha to design and create all the florals for our wedding at Ancaster Mill this past July and three-months later, we're still receiving comments from guests saying that it was the most beautiful and unique floral design they had ever seen before.
Seriously. It was.
When hiring a florist, we were looking for 3 things:
1) Style & Collaboration: My husband and I did not want a classical wedding. Many of the Hamilton florists that we had spoken to excelled in traditional, classical floral design - which is beautiful, but not our personality. What drew us to Tasha was that she had a really contemporary eye for colour, pattern, texture, and form. She has a certain flare that is decidedly-Tasha. She took the time to absorb and appreciate our desired vision. And even with us not being able to eloquently describe what we wanted, she created a design proposal that captured everything that my partner and I were looking for. I was truly grateful for the collaboration and so incredibly thankful that she had such a strong creative vision.
2) Affordability: Many of the florists that we had spoken with had hard and fast numbers for various arrangements. Tasha took the time to work with me on my budget so that it matched what I was looking for aesthetically and financially. This was SUPER key!!
3) Attention to Detail: I've been involved in many weddings where bouquets have pins sticking out of them or you can see floral oasis peaking out from underneath. With Tasha, there is no such thing. If anything, she obsesses over the details to a level that I can't begin to comprehend. For example, she hand-dyed all of the ribbons that wrapped my bridal party's bouquets. For our reception centrepieces, she created these intricate tablescapes that incorporated various florals, paper sculptures, candles, and citrus fruits, some of which she deliberately and painstakingly peeled to reveal such a delicious scent that filled the room. She also does well to use recyclable materials like chicken wire vs. disposable, one-time-use floral oasis.
Seriously. Tasha is a rare talent and delight. My husband and I joke that we want to get married again just so that we can see what Tasha will come up with and create. She's so talented, I can't rave enough.
Flexible, creative, and all-around lovely
The flowers were beautiful !! Highly recommend.
Thuya floral arts worked in my budget and colour palette to create the most extraordinary and unique flower arrangements I've ever seen.
I am a bit of a control freak. And I did have to relinquish control over what flowers I may want.... and you know what? it was the best decision I made.
We had one phone conversation, talked about everything I want/need and a fee emails closer to the date to finalize tables and a few last minute details
sent the money, and the day of the wedding saw my flowers for the first time. knowing I could trust the process and not have to worry about such a huge element made my whole planning process so much smoother.
I recommend Thuya to anyone ever.
just trust and let go and be surprised and ecstatic with your flowers on the day!!!!
