Found My Dream Dress at Powder!

I visited nearly every bridal salon in Toronto searching for a wedding dress that was modern yet bridal and I finally found it at Powder! The salon is beautiful and their dress selection is unlike any other in Toronto that I saw. I loved how it's only one appointment at a time so it felt really special and intimate. I had wonderful experiences at other bridal salons in Toronto but not until Powder did I feel that a salon really got me and my style. Adriana was wonderful, warm and helpful throughout the whole process. Thank you Adriana for helping me find my dream dress!

Best bridal experience ever!

I purchased my wedding gown from powder back in 2016 and had the most beautiful experience with the owner and her team. When my brother proposed to my future sister-in-law, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to take her back to powder to hopefully have the same experience that I did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Adriana (owner) along with 2 other ladies that worked for her with warm and kindness. My sister-in-law told the ladies what she was looking for and immediately dresses were pulled and she had the opportunity to peruse through the collection of dresses herself. The best part of this whole experience was they made her feel comfortable and never said no to anything she asked about potentially adding or removing from the dress to make it exactly how she envisioned! She left the store having purchased the dress of her dreams and it was all thanks to Adriana and the Powder team as well as the gorgeous collection of wedding gowns that they have in store. I speak for myself and my sister in law when I say that I would recommend Powder to anyone looking for a luxury bridal gown and the best experience ever!

Lovely gowns and the staff were kind but they don't inquire about your budget which I only realized halfway through the appointment when I found a dress that I really loved which was 3 times my budget. Its a heartbreaker because I never would have put it on if I had known what the price is so I feel somewhat manipulated by the lack of transparency.

Said Yes to the Dress at Powder!

Can’t say enough about Powder and the service offered by Adriana!!! The selection of unique dresses is by far the best I have seen. Adriana has an eye for what will complement your body type, but also your personality. She makes you feel special, like she has all the time in the world for your appointment, never felt rushed in any way. She just wanted to make sure I was absolutely happy with everything. In the end, we did have a little set back with the dress and Adriana was ON IT!!! She made sure that dress made it in a Couple of days before the wedding! She literally had all hands on deck, from the designer in Israel,
Right down to her alterationists, to make it happen. I put all my faith in her, with no doubts or stress, I knew that everything would be fine. Over and above the fabulous service, her dress selection is so perfectly curated and so exclusive. I felt like a princess, like no one but me would have that dress.

At first I was very excited to come to Powder because they exclusively had some of the designers I was hoping to try. The night before my appointment I get an email, not a call, at 7pm asking me to confirm my appointment by 9pm. Seriously?
My friends and I got to the salon and waited outside until they returned not a moment earlier than my appointment.
I tried on so many dresses, including ones that I didn't like on the hanger as I did at other salons in an effort to keep an open mind but I felt as if I was just being shoved, yes shoved, into countless dresses just for the sake of it. Side note--was not impressed how damaged many sample dress were. I get it, things get damaged but other salons took much better care of their sample gowns.
After my appointment, I thanked the team for their time and asked a few questions. No response. When I followed up weeks later, I got a 3 word response that was so blunt and unclear. When I replied asking for clarity, I got sass. No thank you. Not getting a dollar from me. Go elsewhere..

Very poor customer service overall. The staff were not warm or inviting, or congratulatory of my recent engagement. When I first walked into my appointment, I was asked the date of my wedding. It is 6 months away, and I was immediately told that most of the dresses require at least 1 year to be custom made by the designers and that many other stores would not accept me as a customer with such a short time line either. This was a discouraging way to tell me that my options would be limited. It felt as though my business was not wanted. Despite that comment, there were a number of dresses available, so I did try some on. But the apparent owner who sat at the desk was making some snobby comments during my appointment ( a few helpful comments too mixed in). It would have been better to just have the one sales person. Another overall fail of this experience is that I wasn't asked what my budget was before the appointment or before we started trying on dresses. So I had to ask prices in the midst of the sales person pulling dresses off the rack that she thought matched my stye. It was awkward to let her know she was way off.

Great boutique

Beautiful selection of gowns to try on. They are quite unique compared to most stores, but the setup was amazing! My consultant was so helpful and knowledgeable, not pushy at all! She was able to help me narrow down and find a dress I love!

Worst customer service I have ever seen ! I wish I could give them no star! They don’t reply to your emails and they expect you to follow up! Since when the customer follows up on appointment emails and calls! The receptionist is SO disorganized and weird. Don’t even bother calling them...there are sI many other places that will welcome you !

I purchased my wedding dress a few weeks ago at Powder Bridal. Adriana and her wonderful staff were so welcoming and kind and with their help I purchased the dress of my dreams. After visiting other boutiques and leaving disappointed, I found this entire experience to be wonderful and found all of their wedding dresses absolutely dreamy. I encourage other brides-to-be to visit this beautiful boutique, as every bride deserves to feel as special as they made me feel. Thank you Adriana and staff!

I heard bad reviews about this place but I was pretty set on a dress that I couldn't get anywhere else. So I said a little prayer and booked. Overall, not a terrible experience. Tacky, but not terrible. For example, I went in with a few bridesmaids, my mom and my mother in law, I was paying for the dress, and I let the owner know that. After trying it on and loving it, she proceeded to yell the price across the studio. I was mortified. It was a lavish dress with a lavish price tag. I am very privileged to have a great job, and It's not my style to flaunt the money I make. It put a sour taste in my mouth. Fast forward a few months later when I have to get the dress fitted and that place was a ghost town. I couldn't get a call back after two messages and an email. Finally my maid of honour called and left a message explaining that I was upset, and spent a lot of money on my dress. When the owner called me she said "your friend called, and well, that was dramatic". Pardon?! For the money I spent, I'm good, I'll find somewhere else to do my fitting.
I don't think Adrianna means to be tactless, I just think she's oblivious to what comes out of her mouth.
