Primetime Entertainment provides professional and experienced DJs for weddings celebrated in Surrey, British Columbia, and throughout the lower mainland. They count on state-of-the-art equipment turning your event into an unforgettable party. Jim Baxter, a former radio announcer, once part of LG73 is the lead DJ with over 30 years of experience in the music industry. They play all music genres from country to jazz, are known for packing dance floors, and they're liability insured.
Services offered
Primetime Entertainment's versatile DJs can offer their services throughout the event; from the beginning of the ceremony till the end of the reception party. They'll make sure to play the correct song for each moment and create a magical ambiance for you and your guests to enjoy. Their wedding packages all include the services of an experienced DJ, party planning forms, and the use of an extensive music library and commercial sound system.
We offer complete DJ services, Emcee, audio- projector & screen service, photobooth & lighting.

Five Stars!
Jim did a great job as our DJ and MC. He kept everyone laughing and dancing.
Also, we originally requested the 360 photo booth but it needed repairs and he wasn't sure if it would be fixed in time for the wedding, so we booked the regular photo booth. But when he arrived at the wedding, he brought the 360 photo as well so we had both at no extra cost!
The photobooth attendant also did a great job and was a lot of fun.
I highly recommend Jim as a wedding DJ and MC.

great MC and DJ!
we hired Jim as both our Mc and DJ. I would like to thank primetime entertainment for giving us the best night ever. the music was very good and all of our guests enjoyed the dancing part. Jim made our wedding fun and memorable. I could not thank him enough for giving great service at such incomparable price. his setup was good and included the dance lights. I could not believe that I only had to pay him $725 for 10hr service. If you ever doubt because the price, please don’t. Jim is extremely experienced and an expert at his job. he was very responsive whenever I have questions. too bad I don’t have pictures of his setup of my venue.

Fun, Easy to work with
Jim was an awesome DJ to work with for our wedding. He was easy to communicate with and willing to go above and beyond to make our day special. We booked the Silver package, but we also needed an Emcee. We asked about adding the Emcee service to the Silver package, and he was happy to help out! Before our wedding he called to confirm our ceremony and reception music and helped us to feel confident that our wedding music would go off without a hitch. Jim did an absolutely wonderful job, playing a great selection of music and making sure to include all of our must play songs. Would definitely recommend Jim for your next wedding or event!

Amazing service
We were more than happy to work with Jim and Linda. Jim was very passionate about his business. I remember first time I contacted him, he called us right away and he and my husband talked non-stop. After hanging up the phone, he said Jim was the guy! He was very responsible, flexible, and funny!!
We also really appreciate DJ Linda who did an amazing job for our wedding. She was very friendly, thoughtful, and the best is she knew all our favorite songs. Our guests danced all night long!

Great music, great energy, great people
We worked mostly with Jim Baxter at PrimeTime Entertainment. He was incredibly responsive to all our emails, questions and concerns. He was very flexible and understanding of all the uncertainty that COViD introduced. Due to some scheduling changes on their end, Linda DJ’d our wedding, and she did a fantastic job. The handful of special songs, timings, and A/V work we had went smoothly throughout the night. The playlist of music for the dancing at the end of the night was an absolute jam, and we had nearly all our guests up dancing! We would absolutely recommend PrimeTime for any upcoming events.

DJ Russ from Primetime Entertainment
DJ Russ was great toggling through jobs as our DJ & MC for the night! He had hurt his back earlier in the day before our ceremony and still set everything up while rocking the night away!

My new husband and I had been in contact with Jim since 2020 when our wedding was originally planned and he was more than helpful and accommodating with every aspect of the wedding! He came with more than enough energy and all the equipment we needed to make the wedding go as smooth as possible and was very receptive and professional about the process of the night. He flowed with the vibe of the night and kept the party going as long as we needed! I couldn't have asked for a better DJ for the event. Thank you so much, Jim :)

Fantastic experience working with Primetime Entertainment
We hired Primetime Entertainment for a NYE house party. Jim and DJ Russ were great to work with! Jim was very friendly, flexible and helpful throughout the planning process. DJ Russ really knew know how get the party started and everyone at our party had a great time!

Awesome, no regrets
Jim was such an awesome and passionate guy to work with! He definitely has a wealth of experience in his belt and had gone beyond the call of duty. Our venue's sounds system had failed and he worked on the fly to hook up our slideshow to his equipment so that the party can go on.
Really on point with the music, knows how to read and round up a crowd, work with our MC's, and easy to work with to create custom mixes, and very easy to reach via text.
If you're on the fence, just meet him and he'll show you his system and how thoroughly things have been thought through. He will look after your party.
