From the very beginning, we could tell that Colin truly loves what he does and is incredibly knowledgeable. In our phone calls leading up to the wedding, Colin was simultaneously professional and chill and we felt super comfortable with him.
He brought so much energy to our wedding—hyping everyone up, keeping the flow of the evening seamless, and checking in with us often to make sure we were having the best time. We gave him a general playlist without really indicating what we absolutely loved and disliked but he somehow just knew! I was on the terrace for a bit itching to run back on to the dancefloor, and the moment I walked in he played some of my favourite tracks.
He's also got some great games and tricks up his sleeve! We wanted our guests to take home the centerpieces but hadn’t planned a game for it, so we left it up to him. Colin came up with something fun and creative that wasn’t predictable at all - almost a troll game and it was fantastic! We also mentioned we weren’t totally opposed to kissing games but would prefer not to do them, and he came up with the perfect alternative that kept the vibe lively while making sure we were comfortable.
We’re so glad we had him as both our DJ and MC—he kept the party going, made everything easy for us, and truly elevated our wedding day. Not sure who could possibly give him a 1 star because he was absolutely phenomenal! Thank you Colin, we're so glad you were there to celebrate with us!Feedback Event Services's reply:

Colin was our DJ/MC for our wedding earlier this month, and we are so happy to have worked with him! From our initial consultation call, it was clear that Colin has a passion to make sure everyone has the best time at parties!
In the lead-up to the wedding, Colin was great in helping us understand what the different options were for our needs, and answered my many questions about guest games and navigating language barriers. The system he uses to put your personal music requests is awesome, and the guest request section received some compliments as well! There were some communication delays, but we were always able to connect at the end and have our questions resolved.
On the day of our wedding, Colin was great at matching the vibe of our guests and having them entertained throughout the evening. He helped us on the fly adjust announcements and run the games we planned together. We had wanted to play some niche cultural songs as well, but forgot to communicate with him prior about those. Colin was still able to find those songs, day of, and it led to one of my favourite moments of the night!
I heard so many compliments about Colin’s DJing from my guests, and I am extremely glad that we hired Colin to ensure that it was the best party ever.Feedback Event Services's reply:

BEWARE, do not book with them.
I paid for dry ice for our first dance at our wedding, Colin did not deliver. Video and photos clearly show an empty dancefloor with no mist, by no means a "walking in the cloud" experience as they advertise. We paid $400 for the dry ice which is to include 2 songs, there was no cloud delivered at any point even of one song. I have asked for a refund for the package I paid FULL price for and that you did not deliver. You have admitted to your failure to deliver yet have not processed the refund. You charged me for dry ice and it is your obligation to deliver. To the reader, would you want to find yourself paying for a service for your wedding with the chance you may or may not get what you paid for?
We had a seafood station set up for our guests during cocktail hour. Our guests reported seeing Colin eating shrimps and scallops from our station that was for our guests only. This is a distasteful display and speaks volumes to his professionalism. As a vendor you are aware you get 1 plated dish at dinner and served after the guests. I have asked you to pay for your consumption of our seafood station at the per person cost we paid for each guest. You are hired as a vendor, not a guest attending our wedding. In contrast of all other vendors who worked timelessly, he started latest and tasked to play music while our guests ate but instead,1 hr into cocktail hr he's breaking and taking food that's for our guests.
We paid extra for MC service. Colin did not deliver. At his consult he will tell u he has experience and can "read the room" and play games during any delays, and engage with the guests. This is far from what he is capable of. While we were outside taking photos he left the guests to sit, did not play any games or engage. When we returned we were informed of his lack of engagement and I instructed him to play games so he played one. The one other game he played from the total of 2 for the entire night was the bride and groom shoe game and he played it WITHOUT the bride and groom. We out out in the lobby when we were informed of what he was doing, we ran into the ballroom to salvage his mess.
During the consult he will present a level of confidence of his experience and accomplishments but his performance and overall quality is miles from what he will describe. We didn't place much importance in the DJ role so tasked him with very little, a playlist of 30 preferred mainstream songs. He charged us extra to make a few announcements such as inform our guests of photobooth and cake when served, all of which he did not do. I would not recommend him to anyone. Our guests thought he was a friend providing amateur DJ service for free, by no means reflective of the $2150 we paid. he did nothing but eat our food, push a play button. He spent majority of the time leaning against the wall with his nose in his phone, disconnect from the event. It's questionable if he even did a basic sound check as the sound was muffled and faint, when he spoke it sounded like him breathing heavily into the mic. Do not book him, there are an abundant of DJ options. He charged us for dry ice, did not deliver a 'cloud experience' for our first dance, ripped us off and kept our payment, evident he has no integrity.Feedback Event Services's reply:

You had taken down your review on Google after I had responded to that one, and I see that you put it back up again (ironically along with my response). I realize that I am not the only vendor that you complained to, and I am assuming that you have not received the refunds that you were expecting to get from everyone, so you are back.
Having been in the wedding business for almost 30 years, your story has been told before - Changes upon changes upon changes, well past the due date. Emails and revisions up until the day before the wedding, even though the vendor advised against, - all to lead to a chaotic wedding day. No one assigned to coordinate all of the vendors and performances. No one to ensure everything was going to plan. And then when the vision (that was not properly communicated to everyone involved) was not met, accusations and restitution demands all around.
Karen, I have been in business for almost 30 years because my team and I stand for the opposite of what you have claimed. When you didn't agree with my pricing (ie the Dry Ice), I offered you a "lesser costing" alternative, which you chose, and discounts are listed in your contract, but you insist that you paid "in full" for more than what you agreed to. I explained that the Dry Ice effect is not something that runs constantly for the duration of your entire song, but you insist that you have been conned. Photos and Video show when there wasn't smoke, between the two rounds that I provided (and explained is how it has been done for"ever"), but you do not accept that explanation. Certainly Photos and Video show when there WAS smoke, but you do not acknowledge that.
Guests reported seeing me eat shrimp and scallops, which I absolutely did not. The venue (which I am affiliated with) offered me whatever was left before packing up the (Unlimited) Seafood Station, at which time there were only a dozen mussel shells left. I already explained that I took 6 shells, of which 2 were empty, and I have already offered to pay you for the 4 mussels that I ate, and one "looney"-sized chocolate. This is one detail that you have hung onto. If the venue offers me something to eat, especially that is going to be discarded, then it is between the venue and I. Most couples will go out of their way to ensure that I have had something to eat. And with the amount of work that I had done by that time to help execute the long list of last-minute changes and additions which were unbeknownst to everyone else involved, 4 mussels should have been the least of anyone's concerns.
You were tasked to provide me suggestions of what types of activities would be best for your guests. You did not. I gave suggestions of games (like "Bride and Groom Trivia") which required your preparation - You did not. Games are to involve the guests, and entertain the bride and groom. I said during our first call that Games are to fill time when we are ahead of schedule - not to acuse more delays. We were NEVER ahead of schedule. I tried a Kissing Game with no avail. I performed a Centrepiece game. At one point you went outside with no indication of where you were going or for how long, and then came back questioning why I hadn't played a game while you were gone. You then question when i played my rendition of "The Shoe Game" with the MOH and Best Man, and claimed it to be "a mess" that you had to salvage. I have already told you that I have been playing this variant for over 7 years, and even have a video posted on YouTube since 2017, but you can't accept that fact.
I could go on about your other points, but I already have. I did when you first posted a "review" on Google, and then took it down (which was odd), but are now back. I was going to offer you the prorated discount for the half of your first dance where there wasn't any smoke, as of all of the points you have made it is the only one that I can agree with (although i have provided Dry Ice for 6 weddings since, the same way, and everyone continues to be happy with the results). I was going to offer you money for the 4 mussels that I ate that so terribly offended you.
I was going to do this to appease you, but it is the tone that you have taken with me - the belittling, and condescending way that you have attacked that has made me feel that there is something much bigger going on that a few dollars can't heal. You are stating all of these conditions and expectations AFTER the wedding day, and you didn't before. If I wasn't "allowed" to eat based on your standards, you could have communicated that to me before the wedding. You "didn't place much importance in the DJ role" - I think that is really the root of everything. (And by the way, last time you insisted very harsh words that the song "APT." isn't in our music library - But you had just typed it in wrong.)
At the end of the night, vendors, and guests came to express how much they apprecaited and respected the amount of effort I made trying to piece everything together, where a Wedding Planner / Coordinator was really needed, and there was none. I could foresee all of the holes, and potential issues, and although I relayed them in my past email to you, you are still coming back to attack me. It is clear that none of that matters to you, and you will never understand what your day would have been without all of my effort. And I am at peace with that. And that's just what it is. But others know. And all of the couples before your wedding know. And the couples after your wedding know. And the couples I will continue to work with will know. I have dedicated my life to providing every Bride with the wedding that they deserve. And I have done that every time. -

Colin is very professional,hard working and very accurate. He made our wedding so special. His attention to detail in the song choices were impeccable. Such an amazing hard worker and always quick to reply with any questions I needed answers to. I would definitely recommend him for all of your dj needs. Beyond impressed
Colin was our DJ for our ceremony and reception. We had an amazing experience. The dance floor was never empty, his experience and passion really shows. He was able to blend different genres of music so everyone had songs they enjoyed.Feedback Event Services's reply:

DJ Colin was great!!
Colin was amazing through and through! He was very communicative, positive, informative and overall threw a great party! We were getting compliments on the music variety and how everyone loved that it applied to all ages. Colin will give you a form to fill out which was very user friendly and I personally loved that I could go in and make changes at any given time - even up to the last minute before the wedding. He also took instruction well & kept me and the rest of is on track to ensure everything ran smoothly. 100% recommend!!Feedback Event Services's reply:

We used Feedback for our DJ services. Everything went off smoothly and our DJ, Bill, was a major reason why. He was responsive to feedback and managed to have the whole playlist flow smoothly, which we really appreciated.
