I don't have a single negative think to say about Urban Prairie Cuisine. Obviously the most important thing here is the food they supply, which is easily the best wedding food we've ever had. Fresh and unique, all of our guests approached us after dinner to tell us how incredible everything at the buffet was. They have a super long menu and so many options, and you truly can't go wrong with any of the ones you choose - we'd had them before at different weddings, and knew right away that we desperately wanted the UPC team hired for ours! They're super accommodating and have tons of different options (buffet, plated dinners, etc.). Their dessert bar was a hit, and we decided to go with the nacho bar late snack night - not only was it absolutely delicious, I think it saved a lot of folks from pretty brutal hangovers the next day! Chef Dan and his team are absolute masters in the kitchen and we couldn't have asked for a better crew!

On top of the exceptional food, I have to give a direct shout-out to Danielle, the food and beverage manager/owner. Not only is she incredibly responsive and exceptionally kind, Danielle made a stressful year of planning an absolute breeze. She has a giant heart and was never more than an email or a phone call away for any questions we had - big or small! Her experience in this industry makes her a gigantic asset, and we couldn't have asked for anyone better to help walk us through the big day. Danielle is a gift, as is the entire UPC crew, and we can't recommend this company enough!!

People were raving about our food. Prices were really reasonable too. Communication with Danielle was top notch

I know everyone probably says their wedding food is better than every other wedding but seriously!! People were so impressed and still talk about it months later. The food was fresh, hot, and cooked perfectly. They accommodated dietary restrictions easily.
We had the opportunity to do a tasting and if you think you know what you want, do the tasting!! We ended up with a couple of things we weren't expecting because we were blown away.
I emailed back and forth with Elsie and Danielle and they were both wonderful and helpful.

Got so many compliments on the food and the service was great. Only complaint is I wish the desserts and late night snack was out a bit longer as they were so good and a few people.didnt get there

I cannot tell you just how absolutely delicious our meal was! I highly recommend the cream of potato and truffle oil soup! Our wedding guests were absolutely RAVING over that soup! Urban Prairie was very easy to work with, accommodating with specific dietary restrictions, allergies. Everything! We were able to do a complimentary tasting a few months before. We got to try multiple dishes (huge portions too! No need to plan for supper that day) and they were all so so great. We rented all our linens with them as well and they took care of all the set up! We had a really great experience working with them and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have an event catered!

10/10 would recommend them to anyone interested in a caterer. The food was sublime, so many of our guests went out of their way to comment on the food. The desserts would fantastic and the late night poutine was gobbled up! The service was also fantastic, and working with Danielle was very easy and helpful. Just an overall great experience.

We tried the food from UPC at another wedding several years ago and immediately knew we wanted to hire them for ours.

As expected, the food was perfect and we received so much good feedback from guests about how much they enjoyed it.

Danielle and the rest of the team were incredibly sweet, professional and helpful. UPC was very flexible and accommodating with our menu. We couldn't have been happier with the food and service we received.

A year later and guests are STILL talking about the amazing food that Chef Dan and his team prepared for us at our wedding in July 2021 at Starlit Point. Leading up to our special day, Erin and Danielle were incredible communicators and went above and beyond helping us with wedding planning beyond the catering and service role. They were both very helpful and accommodating as we navigated postponement due to the pandemic, as well as supportive and flexible where the week leading up to our wedding, as we were awaiting changes to government restrictions, they communicated with a sense of calmness that was appreciated. The day of, Erin generously helped set up additional decor on our tables, fighting a challenging breeze, such as our chiffon runners, table numbers, seating cards and favors. She ensured everything was exactly how we envisioned it. The food for cocktail hour, buffet dinner, dessert and the late night snack was all amazing. We were able to customize our menu to suit our style as well as provide our bridal party head table and family tables served "family style" which I'd strongly recommend. The most notable was the Pickeral with citrus butter, golden beet salad and perogies. The bar service kept the party going and never made guests wait too long to get a drink. All in all, we're so grateful to have had Urban Prairie Cuisine at our wedding!
