Delicious Backyard Wedding Meal
After our May 16th wedding was postponed we decided to throw a small backyard wedding ceremony so we could still be married. With only a couple weeks' notice, Truffles worked with us to put together a delicious menu. Because of COVID-19 they prepackaged the desserts and appetizers into individually boxed portions, and rather than cooking and serving the food they dropped things off for us to BBQ - which was super fun. The Parkside works exclusively with Truffles so we actually didn’t get to choose our caterer, but I’m so glad we didn’t because it was one more thing off our list and Truffles ended up being the perfect choice. The food, desserts, wine, and staff were all absolutely amazing. They worked with our schedules leading up to the wedding and when we had some completely unrelated decor issues at our reception, the staff totally pulled through and helped us set up tables and table cloths, even though this wasn’t part of their job and had nothing to do with catering. My husband was actually told by one of the Truffles staff members that if any issues came up with any aspect of the wedding, she would be the point of contact with the other vendors to get it resolved because she didn’t want us to have to worry about anything on our wedding day. They were so easy to communicate with, efficient in getting back to us when we had questions leading up the wedding, and very accommodating of our guests’ dietary restrictions. During his ten years with Atomique Productions, Adam oversaw operations management on a variety of large-scale events and festivals with attendances up to 75,000 people per day including Rifflandia, Rock the Shores, Victoria Celebrates Canada Day, and The Phillips Backyard Weekender. He was also the site manager of Squamish Valley Music Festival’s main stage. His expertise includes the planning, logistics, management of onsite crew and volunteers, and establishing relationships and ongoing communication with event suppliers, vendors, and sponsors.
Jannine, a natural born foodie, advanced her culinary expertise working for various catering and planning companies within Canada, San Francisco and Napa Valley. She decided to move back to Victoria BC and began working for Truffles Catering in 2010. She has extensive experience in sales, event design and execution, menu development for food and beverage, off site catering operations as well as specialized events for conferences, high-end galas and luxury weddings.
