Lazy Gourmet was our top pick from the list of exclusive vendors for our venue at UBC. I knew their food was amazing (especially the Nanaimo bars) and had familiarity with Jewish weddings to deliver a Kosher-style menu. We opted to work with them as well on decor, florals and the DJ. The final product was amazing - all of the food was excellent (I still dream about their white truffle ravioli), the cake was made just to our liking (we had two taste tests), the decor was exactly what we wanted (simple and elegant) and they were able to work around the different challenges brought on by the pandemic and the back-log of weddings that ensued (we didn't get our first choice of chuppah, but the one we did get actually turned out better in the end). The process leading up to the wedding, however, was not what we would have expected from a vendor advertising themselves as a full-service wedding vendor, specifically a lack of responsiveness in the weeks leading up to the wedding. It took a fair bit of prompting by me and our wedding planner to make sure everything was ready to go, including early on the day of the wedding. The specific concerns were brought forward to their general manager who was receptive. There's room to improve, and ultimately the final product worked out beautifully.

Amazing catering company that takes care of people with allergies and makes sure they have things to eat. Everyone at our wedding raved about the food and how great it was. The staff were also really nice and helpful throughout the wedding reception.

Tracy and Lazy Gourmet are not your average wedding and event caterers...they produce exquisite cuisine that happens to be served to an enormous group of people. No two menus are alike as Tracy creates a new flavor and feel based on everything from your relationship to the time of sunset and moon phase. She even made an egg-free, gluten-free cake that was delicious (allergic bride :). What we tasted in the tasting was exactly how the food turned out for all of our guests on the big night. Not only is the food from Lazy Gourmet fantastic, they also provided some of our place setting items and decor, including a popsicle cart! We highly recommend Tracy and Lazy Gourmet.

Jennifer and the Lazy Gourmet made our special day amazing! We were able to incorporate custom items into our menu that highlighted our South American roots which were very meaningful to us. We also had a kids menu which a few adults snuck in to enjoy as well! The venue was decorated beautifully from flowers to table settings and drapings which created a classy and fun environment for our guests of all ages to enjoy.

We definately recommend Jennifer and her team- the whole planning process was very enjoyable and as the date got closer it was a relief that I could pass on a few last minute items their way. Only suggestions to other couples is - enjoy the tasting as much as you can as on the day of you will be busy and celebrating with guests.

We contacted the Lazy Gourmet to cater our wedding after experiencing their food and service at an event. We love a good meal and the catering was a very important piece of our wedding. The entire planning process was so smooth and the team was extremely helpful in putting together a very custom menu for our group. It was a pleasure to work closely with Jennifer, who was so patient in suggesting the best options for our tastes and budget, and genuinely shared in our excitement for the event. We especially enjoyed the private tasting of our menu where we were able to sample and enjoy full portions without pressure, making our decisions a breeze. On the day of our wedding, we experienced the Lazy Gourmet’s unparalleled service and attention to detail in making sure the evening ran according to schedule and all of our guests were happy. We were amazed at the amount of options available for our guests’ dietary needs (nut free, gluten free and dairy free!), and everyone was thrilled to be able to enjoy all of the food without a worry. Never once did anyone feel like they were limited by dietary restrictions, which is so rare! The staff were friendly and warm, and extremely helpful in setup and teardown. Our guests still rave about the catering and we are so happy we hired the Lazy Gourmet to be a part of our day. We cannot recommend them enough for their completely custom approach to each event, incredible food that does not feel at all like traditional catering, and the way they treat every client and guest so well. I have used the Lazy Gourmet for many events, both large and small, personal and professional, and would absolutely recommend them. Their team is incredibly personable and has always been willing to work with my themed events. For my wedding shower we created a completed custom menu of appetizer sized french classic dishes like French onion soup, Nicoise Salad, and steak frites just to name a few. I also worked with their talented pastry chef to create a one of a kind Sweets Station inspired by items one would find on Coco Chanel's Dressing Table. All of my guests were blown away by the food at this event and it really set the tone for our wedding we later held in Paris. I can't wait to see what they come up with for my next party.

The Lazy Gourmet lived up to its well-established reputation as a high-quality, professional caterer true to its West Coast roots. We really appreciated the attentive service and attention to detail in the planning stages, especially since we were planning from out of town. We were beyond happy with the quality of food and services on our wedding day. Our guests raved about the hors d'oeuvres and buffet-style dinner, and there was plenty of food to go around. We would definitely recommend the Lazy Gourmet for future weddings and catering needs.
